I had the intention of sharing this extremely old hong kong movie which is about baby ghost nursing (1982).(cantonese version)
I think this is the apppropriate thread to post here as it draws thai amulet devotees to watch it and the story scenario is very realistic in real ghost keeping..:cool:

tonite, 4th jan, after 8pm, got chanting also,
due to opening ceremony of new building.
itipiso, and jayamangalam gatha will be chanted.
hope to meet up with some somdej....

Phra ngan

Any bros here worship phra ngan bucha or adopt phra ngan amulets?
From my novice knowledge of phra ngan:
1)cannot be worn around the neck unlike phra amulets or other buddha images.
2)wish granting , love&attraction, maybe gambling helper..etc

the last exhibition on pra ngan statue, and prayer was held next to kallang MRT open field, U attend?

regret to mention , im not in spore at then.
But i do came across a news article which featured about a very grand thai buddhism ceremony near lavendar mrt which is near the river..
Im sure you are talking about this event..many archans came to give blessings ..

those yellow string, to be worn on the wrist, given
out by thai monk, is it a form of protection amulet?

i saw him,(monk) taken it out from a chanting plate,
many string on the golden plate, was chanting the whole day
since today is new year day.
