Hello senior bros
am planning my maiden trip to HCMC around late april.
For a week or so....i really need to ask your opinions and experiences at the girl friendly hotels.
As a first timer and alone, i guess staying in D1 seems most logical.
Have read H88 's guide, however would like to know
A&EM- quite a few hotels...which would be the best one?
Any one stayed at
Paradise Saigon?
Tan Hoang Long Hotel?
Or any other hotels in D1 that is girl-friendly within a SGD100 budget?

Any input would be appreciated

I think i have mentioned this before. All hotels below 5- or 4-star are gal friendly.. but I read here that some of the budget hotels try to be funny with foreigners asking for extra fees.

Personally I have never encountered before maybe because they noticed i speak with my gf in tieng viet and the staff also speak to me in tv so they know that i dun come to VN just 1 or 2 times but long term visitor. :p

If they ask for extras, just threaten to change hotels... there are 1,000+ hotels around Ben Thanh. A&em is just one of many... White 1,2,3 are my favourites. Frankly speaking i would stick to the US$20-30 range quite nice already. There is 1 hotel along bui vien that gives me US$15 as a regular but decor not so posh so i stopped going there.

not sure how well thought out this plan is...so how were u planning to communicate on the phone that u wanted to meet them so u can tell them by hand signals that u wanted to fuck them. where when how much etc etc....hand signal taht over the phone as well???

also i wonder what nefarious purpose do u have to set up two accounts just to ask these questions...clone accounts for what purpose?

LOL - sooooo many new/recycled nicks being used these days to establish their bona fides and either spouting off how much they know OR acting all naive/unknowing. All over SBF!

Either case, well designed to lure the unsuspecting into their den of lies and thievin!

LOL

Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)

friends told me they managed to change today at CBT...:)

S$ 1 = 15840 dong

another place in D5 change S$ 1 = 15800 dong

not bad consider the mayhem recently...:)

NOTE - plenty of hotels in HCM...best is to as the hotel directly instead of posting here to ask...dun think any of us will test to live in many different hotels...also not keen to answer those chiong places in hcm...take them as non-existent if you dun know where...without those who had been to these places, you will never find them...:)

note white hotel 1 comment on agoda review "The stay was ok. Hotel abit old n simple. Should improve on air conditioning. Wifi good. What annoyed me was they demanded an additional charge of USD18 for 2 guest. Their excuse was agoda charges did not cover the hotel breakfast. How can the hotel charge us extra when we already made a booking for 2. Agoda should look into this. All charges should be transparant and notified during booking. "

I stayed at White 2 at 29 Thu Khoa Huan, which is just 5 mins walk to CBT. They gave me a big room overlooking the streets on the high floors... I think it was just US$20 or 25... can't remember. There was no air-con problem. I really couldn't care less about breakfast...whether it's free or not... only foreigners fuss over this. All hotel b/f sucks, period. I just walk out for nice and cheap noodles.

Do note that the day shift are mostly nice ladies who check u in, no questions asked.

While the night shift are mostly guys who try to be nosy... one of them had the cheek to ask me next morning... "so how was last night?"... with a stupid grin on his face, like it was any of his business. I just ignored him. My guess is they could be jealous about foreigners screwing their dep gais.

Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)

Thanks MC and Hoian
I guess as what H88 mentioned...i should ask the hotel directly.
I did send Tan Hoang Long an email and they said no problem as long as she has valid id...just got the reply earlier.
Another option is the Luxury Master room at Tan Hoang Longat US$70.
As for A& EM Hotels...i like the ones at 46-48 Hai Bah Trung and 179 Ly Tu Trong...

Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)

Actually with your kinda budget around US$80, u should be looking at Nhat Ha 3 in the so-called "Japanese area", very near to Dong Khoi. Slightly more upmarket compared to CBT which is mostly for US$20-50 range. They have a great Skybar and the recep gals are super cute (not sure if they are still there though). Your gal will feel more special staying there.
