This type of kelong legal onot ?

Wah. This kind isn't kelong lar. Damn smart in fact. I wouldn't have viewed it in that angle if you didn't mentioned it. Pride is when they lift the Champions League at the end of the season. Pride isn't about winning the match against us when the 4th spot looks secure. I'm sure Wenger knows the benefits of keeping Man U fully engaged in the BPL. I'll laugh if they drop points against Portsmouth after resting so many regulars against Everton.

Looks like Arsenal will let us win by resting their regulars like how Man U rested their regulars against Everton.

Strike duo ruled out, but Almunia close to return

Robin Van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor have been ruled out of Arsenal's game against Liverpool on Tuesday night.

Manuel Almunia has been missed.

Both strikers were substituted in the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea at the weekend and it has now been revealed that Adebayor is suffering with a hamstring injury, with Van Persie picking up a groin problem. Nicklas Bendtner and fit-again Eduardo are tipped to start.

"Emmanuel Adebayor is rested. He has a little hamstring problem and we don't want to risk him," manager Arsene Wenger told reporters on Monday. "Van Persie has a little groin problem."

The Gunners are already suffering from injuries in defence, so the news of further woe for their attacking players will not be well received at the Emirates stadium.

However, goalkeeper Manuel Almunia has handed the club a boost with the news that he will be ready to face Middlesbrough at the weekend, after a two-week absence due to an ankle injury picked up against Villarreal on April 7.

The Spaniard concedes he will not be fit to return to Wenger's squad for the game against title-chasing Liverpool, but expects to be ready to face relegation-threatened Boro five days later.

"The Liverpool game on Tuesday is a bit too early," Almunia said in the Daily Star. "But I'll be totally ready for Boro on Sunday."

The news will be welcomed by the Gunners fans as their first-choice shot-stopper should also be available for the Champions League semi-final against Manchester United a few days later.

Lukasz Fabianski has been standing in for Almunia but did not cover himself in glory in last weekend's FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea.

The Poland international celebrated his birthday at Wembley but his shaky afternoon took a disastrous turn late on when he rushed recklessly off his line, allowing Didier Drogba to round him easily and send Chelsea through to the final.

The stand-in keeper will play against Liverpool; while manager Arsene Wenger is more cautious over Almunia's availability for the huge game against United, stating: "We don't know. I don't know, personally."

Wenger has also jumped to the defence of the under-fire Fabianski, claiming his 2007 signing from Legia Warsaw could yet to prove one of Europe's finest goalkeepers.

"I would not like to put too much responsibility for this defeat on Fabianski. It would be unfair," said Wenger. "Let's see him recover and not speak too much about what he has done.

"I believe he will be one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He has the talent, he is brave, he is intelligent. Technically he is very good.

"He was not at his best against Chelsea, but we have to accept that. It can happen to anyone - it happened to [Petr] Cech on Tuesday

No problem with me, but Arse better have their first squad on the go when they visit OT ;)

The news about Van Persie and Adebayor have given me a lift after the Stevie injury news.

frankly, with d 2 top strikers out, we stand a really gd chance to beat Arse. not saying tt Arse is short of talents. rembr they still got frabegas, ashravin, nasir to cause enuff trouble to pool. not forgetting their young, speedy wingers n midfielders.

it's a must win for Pool. psychologically, if we dropped pts, n mu expectingly overcome pompey @ home, d gap may b too far for us to fill liao. *touch wood!*

Woo.. So much debate over Torres! :D
Seems like everyone has their own point...

Anyway, though Arsenal have alot of injuries now, we cant never underestimate them...

We have to remember they are at 4th spot now without alot of their main player for much of the season... And that tells you something...

Actually kinda disapointed Gallas is out too cause I sure wish to see his ass get kicked! :D

We just need man u to lose 1 and draw 1. You think Pompey will roll over? Bro, dun underestimate the power of relegation.

If Ferguson can rest players during the FA cup semi-final for the BPL and CL, why can't Arsene rest his players for the CL too? Arsene's injury list is worse than Man U's. I think we will pump a lot of high balls and long shots tonight to test their goalie. Or play high so we can push a ball for Torres to chase. Once Torres is in a 1-1 situtation, who knows... Maybe their goalie will rush out of the penalty box again. :D

it would make the title race sweeter for us if Crouch pops up with the winner at Utd and Bellamy later on with the winner for City later on against Utd :D

i'm glad to see Arse having so many injury problems especially up front.
Not sure if either Aurelio and Dossena can keep up with Walcott's pace so maybe Insua should start.
As long as we have chances at goal we can win this one cos Fabianski is very vulnerable.

yes, u r damn right!!! the end of season relegation dogfight games r the most interesting... somehow, refs also make it interesting by letting them fight it out (literally) on the field.

i like the way u think...

i m hoping for aurelio to start cos he seems to be the one able to contain speed demons, with his positioning. if recent memory serves me well, he reduced the best, second-best and third-best player into a blabbering wimp on the way to serving a 4-1 humiliation.;)

guys, this senile knight has been talking a lot about rafa recently!!! blackburn game he also watch ah??? i thought he is some sort of a mind-fuck exponent, able to derail the thoughts of his fellow managers??? am i imagining or is he talking too much, much more than he ever had to in his whole career??? me thinks he really fears rafa and the lack of respect the opposing teams have been showing them??? if u guys read the interview out loud, u will certainly smell desperation in his words... or is it that he has just peed in his pants??? damn, would someone pass some new diapers to the "smart" alex???

i m just wondering whose mind is fucked though... i would bet my house on the old fool and the foolish ref!!! well done, david moyes!!!:D

just saw the repeat of the semi-final. their goalie didnt save a single penalty!!! no wonder the senile old man needs to buy buffon!!!:D and seeing the smug anderson's face after he score the penalty really justified my thoughts: when a player goes to a shitty team, a turd he will become.

nah... he is trying to repair the irreparable relationship with arsene wenger. he might have a better chance to get patrick vieira to marry ms gary neville. arsenal r assured of 4th place with aston villa falling over themselves, so the important thing is to scalp the old fool 4 times in a season and get to the champs league final. who is diaper-wearing fool kidding???

david james to keep a clean sheet tomorrow!!!;)

Come on! 2-1. I think we can score 2 more. Remember our goal difference is better than Man U.

Anyone still awake? Let's chat in the chat room and watch the match together if so. :D

There goes our title. Horrible defending. Rafa lost his head and can't think but sulk. Might as well shoot into our goal ourselves.

Shit, got to edit my own post cos we scored again. Horrible game for old people with hypertension yet again. Heart attack

Well bro, when you are facing a mad man like Asharvin who scores with every kick, we have done well to do a 4-4.

If Arse and Arshavin can repeat this at OT, then we still got hope.

What might have been :(
