Normally a 2 way flight Btm - Jkt - Btm will coat around Rp.700-800k.
Almost all domestic airlines offer good price, but you'll have to book early, say min 3 days before flying....;)

My prefered air lines are Air Asia, Lion and Garuda, all have daily flights to Jkt.

Got it, thank.

Seldom write Fr but second to bro Rub&Buah…quite quiet this thread. Here goes..

Been quite some time did not cheong Batam cos budget constraint compare to Balai. Missed the ferry to Batam Ctr. So took wavemaster to Harbour Bay. A very pleasant welcome sight. Same as Sekupang ctr too. Indeed immigration officers courteous and friendly. Endorsed my passport right at the bottom left of the page. No need to tip.

My very longtime no see frd driver brought us to several hotels but finally settled with Island Garden cos he said got strip tease show in this hotel...but we didnt try cos it cost something like RP450K. Quite a no of bros say alot of good things abt this hotel too. Got the cheapest room at S$49.

After checking in, went to hawker ctr (Okie i think) @ 1700 wib. Still early and noticed only a couple of people eating. After makan went to several ktv/massage joint. Most CMI. Settle with one at RP300k from Jambi. Very friendly GF feeling and very horny too. Sleeping time would hug u till next morning. Middle of the nite woke her up for kongkek and she obliged. Not many cewek would do that. My friend cewek cmi. I also felt bad for him.

Breakfast at hotel sucks. (IMO). Thought of staying 2nites but last minute change of plan. Check-out 2pm (wib) and hotel kind enough to waive surcharge. My driver car broke down last nite. So lan lan we took the hotel cab at RP40k (very expensive) to Harbour Bay as I was in a hurry.

Hi BintanBeer,

IMHO, there are no real pros & cons bcos is on personal preferences like if you prefer activity eg. sauna spa, good range of pubs, big shopping centre, cinema, good range of clubs like those with Live-band... than Batam is the place & if you r those type that would like a lay back holiday with reasonable KTV & Disco than Balai would be better, as for cewek prices Batam is slightly on higher side by about 30krp but generally attitude wise not as good as Balai (still alot depend on luck & some chemistry), however in terms of accessablilty Batam are still much better becos it have 3-4 ferries terminal & the nearest only take you 40mins.

Thereafter there are hotel differences, for Batam if you can afford you could tried some of the 5 star hotel but as for Balai the best hotel I think could consider as 3 star only, As from my experiences normally I spend slightly more $$ at Batam than Balai, however to my our preference I still prefer Batam with sometime Balai for some better service Cewek.

Above are base on 100% IMHO only.

Distance
It's roughly the same distance, with Balai just abit further from Batam.

Prices
Balai is generally cheaper then Batam.

Location
Batam is more developed then Balai. In Batam, you have shopping centers and so on, but in Balai, there are no prominent ones (since last I went at least).

Speak no Bahasa Indonesia?
Last I recall, they are about the same. As in, you will have a hard time in either place if you dont have someone that can speak that, or at least Bahasa Malayu (the Singapore Malay). At the very least, I would recommand that you are at least able to speak some Chinese or Cantonese, so at least you can converse with the OKTs there.

Girls
Balai girls range more, however, take that into context and the good ones are generally lesser to begin with.

Batam on the other hand, imo, have more good looking ones, but if you have a specific type of girl in mind, you might not find her here. Also, those in Batam tend to be more jaded and experienced.

a very brief comparison :)

My friends and I are heading over to Batam next weekend, I read that you have a contact of a driver who can speak English? Would be great to have you join us, as our malay friend that has always helped us in the past isn't going this time you see, so communication would be a problem for us. :(
