Following 4th signing Benzema to Real, ALonso's departure might seem impossible? :p:D

Then again, it was mentioned that the deal was on hold till after July so that the commission thingy with Real Socidad expires and Alonso can go for 25m pounds. Sigh.

Barcelona in for 25m bid for Mascherano.

Sigh...

spot on... carra is no longer the secret weapon already, for many years at that.

Yup!
Few years ago maybe, but eversince the 2nd half and extra time of Istanbul 2005, the whole world finally know what is Carra made of!

It was kinda pissed he was used as backup to everyone of the England defence last time but I glad he decided to retire from i'tnl footy for good!

England lost, Liverpool gain! :D

But we still dont have the money to buy Villa..

Even Torres hinted that he dont wanna play with Villa as he prefer Stevie G more..
Why spend so much to have another super striker but cant fit in??

Do we really need him?

We dont need such an expansive back up, yet I dont think is a good idea to break up the Stevie-Torres partnership cause of Villa..

To spend such money on Villa, might as well use it to buy 2 or maybe 3 more players to strength the team?

PS Sorry ah bro David Villa... :D

looks like there will be changes made to our 3rd kit.

it's now been changed to this

http://img382.imageshack.us/img382/4965/adidas2.jpg

or

http://lfcglobe.com/images/3rd_kit_09_10_image.jpg

and Glen Johnson has been given the number 2 kit.
the end for Dossena then?

...

apart from the fact that we got no $$, i dun see how david villa fit into our current formation...

we r playing 4-2-3-1, dun think he will replace kuyt, gerrard or torres...
only place up for grab now is the left side attacker, which is currently occupied by riera.. dun think villa is effective playing on the left...

hope tat we can sign a world class left side attacker... i mean a REAL world class player who is better than riera, babel or benayoun...

other position tat may be strengthen, assuming both XA and JM staying, will be LB... but still hope insua can step up, with aurelio & dossena provide cover... babel & voronin can provide back up to torres, lucas & spearing covering CM, benayoun covering RM...

Meanwhile hope to see more youngsters breaking into senior team.. players like plessis, nemeth, el zhar, darby, pacheco, kelly, dalla valle, buchtman etc.... have been hearing about them, really hope to see them in action..

:cool::cool::cool:

Unfortunately, Mr Villa would love to stay in Spain. The chances of him getting out is very low. I wouldnt say Never. BUt its very very low.

All in all, we still need a left wing, yet again, Im recommending Downing :p:p

Mascherano's bowing out.
Dossena lost his Shirt Number, suggesting OUT too. Byebye Donut hopefully.

Dun sell Arbe :(

your ability to make your chances count, your ability to pop up at the right places at the right time and your dogged determination that puts u in those scoring positions... not to mention your talent. i love u to bits.

but my question is... where would u play???

now, that's unfair.

first, u compared owen to GOD. different class. owen cant (still cant) even trap the ball properly.

second, u insult fowler to compare him to judas. fowler's heart never left anfield. judas doesnt have a heart to begin with. bro owen10 is gonna come in and scold me liao...

but the 5 finger salute he gave to manure fans when he scored for man city??? priceless!!!

it is an open secret that villa only wants to join liverpool if he is to come to england. but i suspect the 50% tax is going to be a big stumbling block. and i dont think villa is the kind of player who puts glory in front of wads of cash.

i second that. but no more than 10mil. but liverpool still needs a decent striker when torres is out, injured or of form.

damn!!! last season, i had pennant on my jersey. this season, mascherano. seems like i need to buy new jersey again.:(

From soccernet..

Michael Owen looks set for a surprise move to Manchester United, after having a medical on his knee on Thursday. The striker will then have a full medical on Friday ahead of signing a pay-as-you-play deal with the Premier League champions.

Empics

Michael Owen: A free agent

The England international is without a club following the expiry of his contract with Newcastle United and it appeared only Stoke City and Hull City were interested in offering him a contract.

But now it appears Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to snap up a player who is fourth in the all-time goalscorers list for his country.

United have been searching for a new forward since the departure of Carlos Tevez at the end of his loan deal. They had been linked with the likes of Karim Benzema and David Villa, but now it seems Owen will be arriving.

The 29-year-old suffered an injury-ravaged time at St James' Park but still managed to score 10 goals as the Magpies dropped out of the Premier League.

The former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker will be hoping a move to Old Trafford will push him back into the thoughts of England coach Fabio Capello ahead of next summer's World Cup finals.

A pay- as you play deal for a player who used to score hatricks for fun at all the U-14, 16, 18 levels... :( end for a talented player but now is just like a plastic ken doll.. easily broken down
