My advice to you for cheonging in TPE is bring more cash if you wanna cheong here. It's one of the most expensive place to cheong if you compare to S'pore, Thailand and China.

I've never try to stay in a cheapo hotel in taipei frankly so never have chance to ask, ha... That might be the set back for not staying in the cheapo hotel may be. However, I have heard of a place from cab driver call "shang chong" (under Taipei bridge) have the quicky service. But just not sure whether it's true as I was alone so not dare to go. :).

you may want to ask around to counter verufy before going? Btw, which day are you coming to Taipei as I'm here ler. heee......:D

personnally I never asked before and I not sure cheapo hotel refer to what star hotel, but my gut feel is that if they do hav that service, they will approach you rather than waiting for you to ask lor.

however, during my trip in taipei May this year, i kenna ask EVERY nights on the street by the OKT at ximending area :eek:, but i did not take up the offer lah cos i am lone ranger and doesnt want anything unpleasant to happen mah :D

also you can try asking the taxi driver, think so can intro

will be going taipei in jan 2010 for 5 days and staying any san want hotel. wads the weather like and how to get taiwan meimeis instead of the prcs one.
