Actually this is quite a common occurrence from my experiences so far. Some are really ticklish around the nips especially if they are not/refuse to be turned on, but I suspect a fair few use it purely as a convenient excuse not to be touched.

IMO, some of the MLs also have a gang or so called "forum" or platform to communicate.
