Maybe you feel I'm complaining but I'm not .. I just don't want be an ignorant and try to gain more knowledge on the ground.. If I don't understand anything I ask that's is simple as that .. It's just like you go hyper mart and shop and they keep charging you extra but you don't bother to ask at all?.. Maybe when you all travel and feel generous and do all the tippings here and there.. Just like my friend act all generous when travel to Thailand tips here and there but back home "kiam" like hell..

If asking a simple question like this in forum also been ridicule .. What the point you all log in then? Just to look down on those newbie in here?

Not too late...

I took Jetstar regularly for domestic when I was based in Hanoi. Don't quite like it cause planes are old and because it is budget air, a lot of "crazy" passengers. Have not met any major delay. The only I met with major delay was with Vietnam air in Hanoi. All flights were grounded because of thunder storm and further delayed when storm was cleared. The traffic was crazy with many planes wanting to land and take off. In the air about 5 hrs later.

Hmmmm, from what I read, u commented paid another 10k. Sometimes, if it is 10k, dun bother questioning why. Taxi driver will not want to cheat you for 10k, there will be reason why he demanded 10k. :D

I travel a lot but I dun tips easily. Call me stingy. I only tips when someone deserves it. This is Asia not the States where tips are so called compulsory. When there are loose change I will just leave it. If deserve, I will leave or give another 10 or 20k.

thought normally have a few options to choose...haha...:)

when I reach I only choose option 1...if option 1 fail then choose option 2...and so on...:)

Just an eg, usually when the meter comes to 170...180K... I just give 200k, get out of taxi and leave. Most of the drivers are okay, they will be fiddling with the money wondering they should give me change or not...because they also want to give foreigners a good impression. I just say "khong co gi, anh...". In fact, I learned this attitude from the Vietnamese.

Think about it, if the driver gives me 20k change...what will I do with it? Bring the money home and bank in to DBS/POSB acct?

But that's just me. I love to spread goodwill all around wherever I go. You don't have to adopt my style if u dun like. :p

(In my mind I will be thinking...wow I only need to spend US$1 to make his day, make him smile... add an extra dish on the dinner table for his kid or whatever...totally worth it!)

Some travellers would adopt the "super kiamsiap backpacker" mentality when they travel. That's their choice, too. I don't say they are bad. Just different way of travelling. :rolleyes:

Hi there, im going to hcmc in a few weeks time. last trip i went to vien dong and dai nam hotel for their massage service which is quite good. i wonder if silverland central hotel has the same services like vien dong and dai nam.

any bros tried this hotel before?

Not sure what "type" of service you talk about.
But i tried clean massage in the Silverland Central Hotel. Not cheap....
