Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
Below is the report from ESPNSoccernet regarding the FA Cup replay tie with Bolton:
Report: Tottenham Hotspur vs Bolton Wanderers - English FA Cup - ESPN Soccernet Pavy has done it again. 4 goals in two games proved what a striker he is. Besides Pavy, the team deserved credit for not giving up although Bolton looks like coming back after the score was 3-0. Eidur Gudjohnsen played magnificently even though he was only given the second half to show his stuff. He touches were marvelous. Gudjohnsen actually played very well with Pavy and Pavy was given lots of room when opposing players try to crowd Gudjohnsen out of the game. However, Gudjohnsen, with his experience, created lots of playing space for other players like Bale, Huddlestone, Modric, Krancjar, Bentley and of course Pavy. Gomes also showed how good he is at shot stopping. Huddlestone, Bale, Bentley, Dawson and Bassong simply worked their socks out this morning. This is the type of spirit that players should show. This is the type of teamwork which the team has not been consistent. Let's hope that we have found our momentum and march on for the remaining matches to achieve the best ever result for so many years awaiting. COMON YOU SPURS!!!:D |

Heheheh....very nice salute.
Yep, didn't realise it's nearly 40 years. Got hooked since the days at Ang Moh school in HK. Those were the days...Steve Perry, Martin Chivers, Pat Jennings (my favourite of all time), Ray Clemence, Steve Archibald, Garth Crooks, Ricardo Villa (best goal ever scored in a league Cup final against Man City), Osvaldo Ardiles. Many excellent memories of Spurs Glory. Probably the most creative team in UK. Cheers all. |

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
This may not be good news for us this weekend:
Report: Sporting Lisbon vs Everton - UEFA Europa League - ESPN Soccernet A high morale Everton team brought down to earth in Europa League may spell difficult time as it is the worst time to face a team with something to prove after this lost. Moreover, no more cup commitment with only Premier League to play for. They will definitely go all out to prove themselves and get into position for europe glory again. Hopefully, we can do well. COMON YOU SPURS!!!:D |
Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
Hi Bro Spurslover,
Yr team r on Fire recently.....& yr player with the long very long name that start with letter P r on fire too......:o |
Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
Pavy guy is alter ego of Aaron Lennon. And AL is much more consistent and level-headed guy.
Just wonder if the Pavy guy will remain with Spurs or get snapped away to Manu like it happened with Berbitov. If so, then any Russian names playing for Spurs are for real short time. And Spurs STILL Survived the worst. What's the FA Cup final like? Spurs vs. Chelsea? |
Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
Below is the report of the Everton game at WHL:
Report: Tottenham Hotspur vs Everton - English Premier League - ESPN Soccernet That's our third win in the last 3 matches. We will face Fulham next for the FA Cup at Craven Cottage, a very difficult place to play in, which Man U can verify for. Just hope that Huddlestone is fine and our players show the fighting spirit that dominated Everton during the first half of yesterday's game. Everyone played well except for Gomes, who is a bit shaky handling high ball. Hopefully, everyone concentrate on the task ahead. COMON YOU SPURS!!!:D |
Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
Watched the game against Everton. Spurs' play was fantastic in the first half. The way they passed the ball around with their counter attack....excellent. However, it was a different story in the second half. The 6 minutes injury time was real nerve recking. Fortunately, Spurs prevailed.....YESSSSSS....

=> Preview our FA CUP Quarter Final - FULHAM vs SPURS.....
Guessed it dun look really good for our SPURS with several key players injured liked LENNON,BENTLEY,JENAS,HUDDS,KING,WOODGATE...and latest BALE...we are definitely "weakened Underdogs"...vs a full strength FULHAM team...So what "tactics" will be used by HARRY ???....Probably he will be desperate enough & want SPURS to play for a DRAW so that we can get a Replay @ WHL !!!.... But the Bookmakers have already predicted a home Win by FULHAM...:( So what do U SPURS BROs think ???... |
Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
bros i'm late but better late than "ever"!
bale is man-of-the-match, modric scored an unforgetable one... but the player who stood out for me is niko kranjcar. this guy is absolutely one of the best attacking midfielders in the land now. numerous good shots, passes and dribbles from him. he scored for croatia in the midweek friendly with belgium, but unfortunately both countries are not going to south africa. http://172.31.254.243/soccernet-asse...28_500x281.jpg Roman Pavlyuchenko and Jermain Defoe celebrate after the Russian's opener against Everton http://172.31.254.244/soccernet-asse...28_500x281.jpg Luka Modric scores a sublime second goal for Tottenham against Everton |
Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
Spurs vs Fulham....
This is indeed a tricky tie. Spurs currently have a number of players down with injuries. On paper, Fulham seems an average team but the 2 times that they met, Fulham actually drew 0-0 with Spurs and only lost in the other encounter. Nevertheless, I'm predicting a narrow victory for Spurs. Maybe 1-0 or 2-1. COYS:D |
Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
Lucky Gomes give a MOTM performance to take us back to WHL, hope we can go thru from the replay.....

these replays are getting crazy... :D http://172.31.254.241/soccernet-asse...06_500x281.jpg Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes saves from Fulham's Zoltan Gera. robbie scores, and scores... :D http://172.31.254.243/soccernet-asse...rk_500x281.jpg KING OF THE CELTS Celtic striker Robbie Keane celebrates his two goals in the 2-0 win over Falkirk. |
Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
spurs 3 bb 1
man-of-the-match: gareth bale and spurs is 4th with 52 pts! liverpool 51. :D http://172.31.254.243/soccernet-asse...fc_500x281.jpg Jermain Defoe opens the scoring for Tottenham against Blackburn as he turns home at the far post. Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko was on target again to help defeat Blackburn at White Hart Lane and maintain his side's hopes of a top-four finish in the Premier League. Pavlyuchenko had been unsettled for most of the season and looked set to leave during the January transfer window but stayed at the club and has now played a big part in Spurs' push for Champions League qualification. Jermain Defoe opened the scoring against Sam Allardyce's men, then Pavlyuchenko doubled the lead before Christopher Samba pulled one back. Hopes of a Blackburn comeback were dashed when Pavlyuchenko scored his eighth in his last six games and even Spurs boss Harry Redknapp, who has been at loggerheads with the Russian at times during the campaign, was up celebrating. http://172.31.254.243/soccernet-asse...13_500x281.jpg Roman Pavlyuchenko celebrates his second goal of the game, making it 3-1 to leave Blackburn's hopes of a point in tatters. |
Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
to be the first english player to appear in 4 world cups... dashed...
http://172.31.254.243/i42.tinypic.comm/jhvl3q.jpg England midfielder David Beckham has torn his Achilles tendon, according to AC Milan boss Leonardo, and his hopes of playing at the World Cup would appear to be over as he is set for surgery in Finland on Monday. The on-loan 34-year-old, a former Three Lions captain, hobbled out of the late stages of Milan's win over Chievo on Sunday night and it is speculated that he could now be facing between five and eight months of rehabilitation after pulling up when unchallenged. |
Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
=> Still feeling wide awake after watching SPURS narrowly beat STOKE 2-1 Away !!!...Of course damn happy that we managed to grab tis 3 PTS !!!...Especially with so many key players injured...or with too many yellow cards with potential match ban !!!...We have such an important replay with FULHAM mid week !!!...:(
We almost left "red face"...after taking the lead we have both our own defenders CORLUKA & EKOTTO pushing each other...and we were damn shaky defending...and damn lucky to get away with blunders from DAWSON & BASSONG...Of course EKOTTO giving away the penalty...wc was really unnecessary !!!... With STOKE down to 10 Players & if we were to draw or even lose...it will be so bloody embarrassing to think we are really a potential Top 4 Team !!!...HARRY & his team will be damn busy in coming weeks !...And now HARRY must be regretting putting few key players on loan liked KEANE & O'HARA !!!...:o Come ON U SPURS !!! Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
=> => => SPURS 3 vs FULHAM 1 <= <= <=
Superb comeback in the 2nd Half with BENTLEY's freekick, then PAVY's continued hot scoring streak...and damn GUD winning goal that "destroyed" FULHAM....U could see that some of their stars liked DUFF & ex-SPURS players liked DAVIS,ZAMORA,MURPHY...were struggling after playing all out in the 1st Half !!!....We were unlucky not to equalised with close attacks but lack the deadly finishing !!!....:o For once,i'm really glad that HARRY's tactics worked wonders...and tis current SPURS team are have that "fighting spirit" !!!...:) Happy that we are in the Semi's & O'HARA will be crying again & NOT be playing !!!...:D Well done,SPURS !!!
