I went Batam 2 weeks ago and found out most of the malls are turn down the aircon which causes the malls, and even Pacific palace hotel's aircon are quite hot ?What happen in Batam ? is it instruction from government to turn off the aircon to safe electricity ?

ration electricity, especially when oil hits over 100 USD per barrel. They find it better profit to sell gas to singapore than to use locally.
