Rafa is smart!

He knows he still have the support of most supporters, if not all as compare to the owners, who have none..

The selling of Torres will surely anger the fans, thus forcing the owners to improve on the money/transfer kitty issue...

So by quoting that he may sell Torres, he actually heap more pressure on the Yankee shits...

Hope it is the begining of the end for the Yankees era at Anfield...

For reasons better known to himself, Rafa seems to fancy Lucas to do the job in central midfield. I really disagree with that as in my humble view, Lucas is well back in the pecking order for the two central midfield slots. I would say he is behind Gerrard, Mascherano and even Aquilani. But there you go, he's the manager and he can do as he well pleases.

BTW, I also disagree with him playing Kuyt and Babel out of position on the wings, especially when they are essentially centre forwards. The other issue I have with Rafa is that he only uses Benayoun sparingly, when he is arguably the most creative player we have this season!!!

Its really fraustrating sometimes to see the team he puts out for games....in my humble view, Rafa is one of those managers who has yet to come to terms with who his best eleven is!!! I hope he gets it right, otherwise, we can kiss a spot in the top four goodbye....in any event, now that we're out of the champions league, i hope we have a really good FA Cup run by winning it, along with finishing in the top four in the league!!! That, in my humble view, would turn this disastourous season around somewhat and build confidence for next season for a renewed push to win the league!

Are you guys watching this morning's match against Reading? 3.30am, Ch 24.

These are troubling times for Liverpool. Owners are vulgar shit-heads. Manager doesn't seem to play his best 11 at times (why is benyanoun on the bench?) Players don't seem too interested to fight for the ball (weird, given that this is a world cup year.) Fans frustrated at how the club is run and the team is managed. Stupid cable TV companies fighting to see who can make football fans pay more to watch football.

Despite all these frustrations, I think i will be watching the match, if I can wake up. Will you guys watch? I do know of a few friends who stopped watching liverpool games. 'Gek Sim' to see how our beloved team is struggling.

Oops double post.

On the bright side, Maxi is coming. I think a genuine winger will do wonders for us and give more space to Stevie and Nando.

And what did we stay up for bros?

Nothing less than a humiliation by Reading...we were well beaten.

Dark clouds are back again.

I woke up and watched from the 60th min onwards. Sigh. I think we almost lost 4-1. The free header in the penalty box and the surging run from their player from their own half could have cost us. Can't imagine we let a player run from his own half and dribble past 3-4 of our players. He even got Caverleri to commit himself first before missing the target by what... 10 cm? It would have been a very beautiful goal.

We really need another good striker. Ngog is everywhere. No one to finish off our limited chances and no one to pressure the defenders into making mistakes. Benayanoun's tackle in the 90th min really deflated the team.

Didn't finish watching the match though. I had arranged to meet a local syt fl at 6.30am. Didn't anticipate extra time. At least I'm glad I got a happy ending this morning.

hmm Liverpool follows ManU in FA cup.... the season has gone from bad to worse. no hopes of any silverware this season.... and one more bad news.
Rudd Van is in talks with Stoke City... May be he considers stoke a better option than pool.

I stayed up to watch the match this morning.

Ok few seconds left in inj time ... was quite happy we were abt to snatch a lucky win fr Reading ... till that ill-fated silly penalty cost us dear. abit suay cos Yossi juz stuck out his foot n caught d Reading player.

but i guess many fellow Pool fans will agree that Reading played very well n do not deserve to lose the match. we got a lucky goal fr SG's deflected shot. other than that we didnt threaten as much as how Reading exploited our defence time n again. our defence seemed to be back to the old self which we were horrendous at times. Reading could have buried us in normal time if they took their chances. I think we cant give weak excuses such as we lost cos SG n Torres were injured. We have more than enough depth n quality to beat Reading but not the heart.

as a Pool fan i do not like to blast d team i support but this morning i think i ought to agree with the booing home fans. :(

just don't understand what is wrong with the current team, it is basically the same team as last season but they are really making a mockery of the Liverpool FC name..
