My F-Gawd - I hope this is not true :eek:

================================================== ==

Sven Goran Eriksson is eyeing off the Liverpool job.

The News of the World says the former England manager has his eye on taking over from Rafa Benitez in the summer if the Spaniard is shown the door at Anfield.

Part of the reason he made the surprise move to Notts County in the first place was to keep himself in the shop window for jobs in England.

"The job Sven really wants above all others is Liverpool. His track record stands up to scrutiny and he thinks he has a chance," said a source.

We need a good striker, not deploying Ngog who can not shoot well, usually outplayed by the defenders.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy is over the hill. He has a chance to come back to EPL during Jan window transfer but he chose Bundesliga. The EPL pace is too fast for him and he opted for the slow German soccer.

Ruus V Nistelrooy is an out and out striker and needs the service from midfield to score. This guy can score goals but he needs 5 chances to score 1 goal.

Also, he is injury prone and when he was in Real Madrid, he had been injured often. His pace has slacken last few years.

I personally dun think he will fit Liverpool.

Personally, I dun think Sven Eriksson is a good coach.

Jose Mourinho wants to come to Liverpool. But Liverpool has no money to spend on players now so what is the point to go.

Indeed - he has never perform what is expected of him either in league football (lazio) or international (Eng - pui).
He used to be the most higly paid international Manager until Capello took over because he was not up to the task.

Anyway - we cannot afford his salary not to mention Jose's too - would rather splurge on quality players now.
For the Manager's head - let's see how it goes until the end of this season.

One for the Ngog, another key goal for us.

Anyone saw the match? Was going to but couldn't wake up.

Think Liverpool was right to sell Robbie Keane. Keane needs 10 chances to score one goal.

See where he is now. Scottish league.

poor game.. again, we struggled against team tat play 10-men defense.. plenty of possession but rarely penetrate..

the 2 subsitute, babel and pacheco were lively when they were introduced.. and actually it was babel crossed, pacheco headed back for ngog to score with a simple header..

only positive thing from this match:
1. finally we got to see pacheco in action;
2. babel played well after coming on.. is he a changed man?? he may have forced himself back into the 1st team.. hope he can keep it up, even he stays on the bench for next few matches..

Good to hear, Babel has played well recently as sub, when everyone is tired and he gets to run at the defence. Nice to see he has got an assist from the flanks - he has a couple of those already this season. I think if he scores, his confidence will rise even further.

And Pacheco hope to see more of him in future!

Javier Mascherano insists he would nvr join manc City despite the riches on offer. He arrived in the EPL in 2006 when he joined West Ham along with Carlos Tevez, but lasted there only 4 half a season b4 joining Liverpool.

Ahead of Liverpool's potentially vital game at City 2morow, Mascherano has said he would never follow Tevez in leaving a club with a successful history for the eastlands.

manc might hv bought some very good players & hv a good team, but he was reported 2 hv mentioned tat - you can buy players, but you cannot buy history,"I certainly don't want to play for City.

Maxi Rodriguez also feels tat the fact they hv spent $$ will not influence anything that happens out there on the field. Whatever amount they've spent, it's still 11 against 11 and those 22 players will be doing battle to get the three points on offer.

Welcome back, Torres!I thought we had a good game except for two clowns! As usual, Lucas didn't know what he was supposed to do on the field.Insua 's form is getting down the drain recently.Babel, mascherano & skytel all to thanks for.YNWL!

A good result and frankly both sides were too scared to lose to try to win it.

Glad to see Torres and Yossi back, must be the miracle massage again!

Rather than diss this or that player, I think the team played well, except one or two stray passes which could have cost us dear. Happy to see Skrtel back in form to the monster we know he is and Mascher other than some dodgy tackles has given us tenacity and bite in midfield.
