Recently recommended a massage joint to a buddy. Told them to pay V200k tip.

End up some of his friends tip V500k.

We need to go to this massage every month; while all the "high tippers" may go 2-3 times a year.

Sianzzzz........sometime wonder why share and spoilt own playground.:(

Let me share something from recently trip maybe about three weeks back. I just have a trip to HCM and then taiwan. For my experience to HCM , girl are usually easy to know and are ok to meet out for cafe. So there how i get to know new girls each trip. Just have to slowly filter yourself.
Cut it short , i have a Frend who always stay in vietnam for months by extending visa, this trip he motor me to a place which i have no idea all i know is all the shop houses on one side, he just part his motor bike in and go up to second floor which a few girls are there. The whole street down the road are such shop, heard it use to be 300K but the price have already went up to 400K.Choose a girl bring you to a room and massage you, after that just bbbj you.Free to roam and they just auto take out bra and panties. Girls here normally do not know english and since my frend can speak ok tieng viet and been travelling around, he just manage to find this place.

Besides D1, where else can I rent a motorbike ? Or which hotel provide motor bike? My usual hotel runs out of motor bikes..need to find alternatives..

There's a lot of discussion about pricing for our hobby in HCMC (and semi-follow-up to my last post about different type of KTV). So here's my two cents; I want to put things into perspective based on my understanding...

HCMC Rate
- Waiter/Waitress makes about 100k VND a day or about 2.5 million VND in salary per month with maybe 2-4 days off total
- Same goes for aesthetician you see at legit spa
- KTV girls at avg joint (not top joints) makes about 15-30 million VND
- Girls at top HJ massage (Dai Nam, Vien Dong, and the likes) joints net about 15-30 VND a month (after paying the house for the privilege in working there...)
- Girls at top pretty massage joints (that don't offer HJ/BJ/FS) makes around 10-20 million VND (although it was down for a while during the Chinese tourist downturn)
- Account Managers at int'l advertising agency makes about 20 million VND a month (with 3-5 years experience and strong English skill)

So when girls say "I only get tip (which is true), I don't get salary," it doesn't mean you need to be their hero and give them more than market rate. If they do their job proper they will usually hit the average and be better off than most of their peers who work normal job can ever do.

Another quick anecdote: less than 2 years ago, I tipped 100k on average to girls at pretty girl massage (no HJ/BJ/FS) and they're pretty okay with it. I know this because two of them that I really liked came out with me after work. No extra money although I of course paid for food, foot massage, taxi etc.

When I do get them in the sac I will give them some spending money (1 million each time). Nothing extravagant.

Turn the clock forward to current time. Now you give them 200k and they're asking for 300k. I usually stand by ground (200k) because I know that giving more tip doesn't make me more handsome or get me closer to getting laid. Exception being those bros that pay through the roof. If anything, they respect you more for knowing the numbers/standing your ground.

Still, that's quite a jump in price from 100k to 200k! I will post about most recent 'high class' KTV where the price completely floored me.

Thanks a lot. Most of the bikes rental places are at D1, which is quite far from where I stay. So trying to find something elsewhere.
Thanks for the warning earlier. I'm a licensed rider, and have been riding every trip to hcm.so far quite lucky, no mishap.

I have walked the length & breadth of Pham Ngu Lao street and there isn't a single bike shop. What they have are agents or middlemen who will pocket a commission for making the connection.
