bro zen .... it's not necessary that u have to spend so much money in china ..
it all depends on what and how u want to cheong ....
luxury and comfort is very important to me when on holiday ... :D

let me break it down my recent trip expenditures so u have a clearer picture ...
i change S$4K and withdraw S$1.2K in china ... have left over abt S$200 ..
thus my total spending is abt S$5K (22500rmb) for 9 days ... abt S$555/day or 2500rmb/day ...
hotel = 450rmb/nite (8 nites)
ON gal = 1000rmb/nite (6 nites)
KTV & 酒吧街 = 450rmb/nite (8 nites)
KTV & 酒吧街 gals tips = 300rmb/nite (8 nites)
food = 150rmb/day (9 days)
transport = 900rmb
massage/SPA/Facial = est 250rmb/day (8 days)
shopping (DVD, cloths etc) = est 1500rmb
miscellanous = 1000rmb
total: est 22350rmb

i have a bad habit ... when i go for holiday, i do not want to worry abt how much i need to spend or control ... i'll just enjoy myself whole heartedly ... :)
and i dun like to use credit card unless it's really necessary ....

everyone have different way to cheong ....
To each his own ... :)

i think ur colleague either was pulling ur legs or he heard it wrongly ...

on a side note ... there r counterfeit rmb notes circulating ..
thus be careful ...
like bro binbin81 said ... when it get too good to be true, beware!!!!!!!

Yo bro...Yea..same sentiments..I guess it's around there...if u go 'All out'..then the expense Excluding airticket will be around SGD2k for 4 days of tedious cheonging...(At least for me)...of course that includes at night overnite for MMs and then afternoon go sauna again & foot massage and then same routine every day/nite...so will work out to be around SGD4.5~5k for a 9 days trip lor...;) but to be frank..with the RMB getting stronger by the day...clocking up $5k for a 9 days trip is EASY...Bro Adidas..do prepare for more bullets on your next trip...hehehee! U got to adjust your budget leow...

Really envy your cheong budget. Your S$5000.00 budget per trip is equilvalent to my budget for 4-5 PRC trips. Me poor man. What to do? Haizzz. :(
