I will like to know the correct procedure for preparation of documents for marriage registration in Vietnam. Kindly correct me if it is not in correct order.

1. Go to ROM in Singapore for the certified single marital status certificate.

2. Go to MFA in Singapore for the single marital status certificate to be certified.

3. Go to Vietnam Embassy in Singapore for the single marital status certificate to be legalized.

4. Go to People's Committee office (UBND) in District 1, HCMC, Vietnam for translation of the certificate to Vietnamese.

5. Go to the mental hospital in District 5, HCMC, Vietnam for mental check-up.

6. Go to Department of Justice in District 3, HCMC, Vietnam with all the necessary documents for marriage registration.

Additional questions:

1. Do I need to go to Singapore Embassy in HCMC, Vietnam for the single marital status certificate to be legalized?

2. Beside the single marital status certificate, do I need to bring Singapore birth certificate as well?

3. Any other necessary documents?

Thanks in advance.

Due to the recent passing of very prominet and influential person in Vietnam. A national perriod of mourning has been declared.

One source says it is from 12th Oct - 13th Oct

Another source says it starts from 11th Oct 12pm - 13th Oct 12pm.

Which ever it is, all entertainment places will be shut during this period of national mourning.

Time to refund your tickets or change destination.

Anh Reaper,

You should name the person since it was this guy who orchestrated the booting of the French at Dien Bien Phu and about 25 years after that, the booting of the US Forces from Vietnam.

Vơ Nguyên Giáp

Bac Giap, may you rest in peace.

Hello All,

Well it took me several days to get through this entire thread. Thanks to all the seniors for the great info.

I'm heading to Hcmc the first week of November...I've tried getting in contact with a few of you over PM but no luck in arranging a meet :( If any seniors are available and or interested in meeting up for a few drinks / dinner and a night out (all expenses covered by me of course lol) please do give me a PM...even if just for the company and some good conversation.

If no one available or willing, wishing everyone all the best...regardless what happens I intend to explore and will report back my experiences.

nothing funny as still a bit early for clubbing on a Sat nite..:)....Reaper might be making the post at CW while Singkieu heads down to 02 after posting...:D

as for the state funeral, entertainment places in HCMC will be closed..majority of operators would not "risk" for an additional of singal day sales..

during the last state funeral,1 of the joint that i know did not shut down..on the following week, the joint kena 3 spot checks within a week during the peak hours...

I know there are seniors here that aren't considered too friendly in sharing and showing new samsters around. I use to didn't understand this - isn't the forum set up for sharing? But... I get it now.

I played tour guide for the first time to a samster this weekend. Man, its rough. All fun when everyone is sober or at least in somewhat control. But once people get alcohol in their system and nights get long, especially with people you don't know too well, the shit hits the fan.

Bac Giap:

1. 'Bac' is what you call a man or a woman in Vietnamese who is around your grandparents' age.

2. When the Vietnamese call each other by name, they use the 2nd name after the surname, so Vo Nguyen Giap = they will call him Giap.

So its the same as how we can call someone 'Uncle Lee' or 'Uncle Harry', using either the name or the surname after 'Uncle'.

Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)

went' to a few hanky panky ktvs for the first time this weekend.

first night: had no idea where to go so I asked a couple local friend. one friend recommended me the most popular ktv om in HCMC where girls are drop dead gorgeous. though he's never partaken in the activities, just dropped by when his colleagues were there. but a quick google found the place had been raided recently.

another friend recommended his favorite spot. told me to call the manager, tell him I'm good friends with Michael. price is about 1m per person, 200k tip to girl, +500k for ST FS upstairs, +500k if you want girl to sit naked with you.

When we got there, we only had a choice of 3 people, not stunners, just average girls, some old shit. Manager said we were coming too late (11PM). Come between 2PM and 11PM, earlier = more selection.

Second place random ktv om we chose, but got raided after 30 minutes there because of the death of the general.

Third place was my favorite. When we pulled up they asked us if we knew a manager, we said no, and they hesitated, but i threw a couple of don't worry, we're just trying to enjoy not but you and they let us in. The manager said this place was by referral only, gave me his number, and told me the password. he brought in two girls to choose from for me and my friend. said just get these two girls for now, he'll bring in a line of girls later, we can exchange then, or get more than 1 girl. the first girl had the slightly thicker body, but equates to bigger chest :) she wore an army pattern bikini showing lots of skin. not bad. my girl was more "girl next door look", normal looking girl, average, but young.

line of girls finally come in, about 10. manager said its just a portion of the girls here. and we got 2 more girls to sit with us.

night went on, fun times, let the girls open and eat anything on our table. when one of the girls started getting drunk, they talked in vietnamese and basically said "shit, i'm already drunk. can't drink more. 4 girls in the room and we can't finish our 2 cases, we might get yelled at later" :D total bil about 2.3m or so. 200k tip to each girl.

i got both my girls number, the pretty girl has messaged me since asking if she can come over (i assume she wants me to LT her. since she's 100% my type i gotta find a good night to invite her). the other girl less attractive, i had a feeling she liked me, so i invited her over. she came over for a couple hours and then i took her home which was nearby, no charge :).
