Below is the reports of Steven Pienaar:

Pienaar is a player with plentiful of drive. Hopefully, he can inject better fighting spirit as the lads looks dejected when things are not going too much their way.

Great catch, Harry.

pienaar should be good for spurs, he is like chelski's malouda and kalou kind of offensive midfielder. i am just curious why he is so sought after, has he been scoring loads for everton?

Bro,

His goalscoring is not magnificent, I guess his running into space and running at players has created loads of space for others. His work rate is very good. A gain for Spurs means a lost for the Toffees. Hopefully, Everton can get capable replacement.

At 2.5-3mil, he quite a good buy, hopefully, he can start off like VDV and add spark to the attack.

Below is the report of the match at Newcastle:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report/_/id/293029?cc=4716

I guess this is what we get if we overly rely on Bale. There is no penetration in this game at all. We looked dangerous in attack, but Newcastle looked ferocious. It is a point saved for this match thanks to Lennon.

Hopefully, we can look at other ways of penetration with Lennon on the left and Pienaar on the right.

bro i hate to see bale playing left back anyway, you cant put a goal getter like blazing bale in defence, its unforgivable. the same man who scored 3 against mighty inter like he's the legendary george best or a young gigsy.

it seems pardew's newcastle is really worked up now, nolan is back to his commanding midfield general role much like david batty in the past. liverpool should consider talented sans temper joey barton as a replacement for joe cole. :D

Bro,

I guess Bale has to stand in as left back becoz of Assou-Ekotto's injury. We are short in terms of left back.

Newcastle played very well, but joey barton is not really firing from all angles like nolan. Nolan is a good captain.

We really have flooded the midfield already, defence is also reinforced with signings and return of Woodgate, however, goalkeeping and strike force will be thin when injuries and the season kicked in.

Looks like Chelski found their skis already, this is bad news for us becoz we are not getting all the results we want. Champions League football has put us on the european map and boost our profile with great signings like VDV. To keep players like VDV coming and staying, we need UCL next season, at least this should be an immediate target for us.

well bro if spurs win the champ league this season, i'll forgive harry and co if spurs dont make it to top 4 and qualify next season. :D

van bommel is playing very well in bayern, perhaps a double dutch can be perfect for spurs.

talking about double, berba scored a brace to overcome blackpool. he was down and nearly out at the end of last season with little to show, a flop in the shop. look at what is happening this season, i dont know what the great fergie is feeding him, may be the same feed andy cole was getting.

my word... out of the squad then what will robbie do?
come on harry... let robbie go on loan to west ham. robbie can save them. :D

espn
The Hammers have offered a £1 million loan fee and are prepared to pick up the player's £65,000-a-week wages - but the problem is Spurs' demands for the Hammers to commit to a full transfer.

Tottenham want their London rivals to pay £6 million if West Ham stay up, though that is not the sticking point. West Ham believe that Keane must play a certain percentage of the remaining games to prove his worth to the Hammers' survival bid.

West Ham are hoping that the delay in the decision-making process for the Olympic site might take the heat out of their negotiations to bring Keane to Upton Park. But in the absence of a straight cash sale, Redknapp might relent and allow Keane to move out on loan.

Bro,

I think Harry is trying to re-shape the team or being forced by the management. I can understand why, but I can understand the timing of the re-shaping. It is very disrupting to the team spirit and it will do more harm than help.

I seriously think that the January Window is doing EPL no good. I think if the January window is to open, it will be to open the window for teams with plentiful of injuries within the 25 strong squad. For those whom has little/no injury casualty, maybe a limitation of 2 transfers per team.

Spurs is in good shape, but in January we underwent 1 Win 2 Draws 1 Lost, i.e. 5 out of 12 possible points. I won't say it is a bad spell, but it is below the average of 6 points, so it can consider as a poor spell. 1 of the reason could be the attention on the market takes too much off Harry's time and having a toll on the player's mind.

Hopefully, after these 2 wins, we can be better off and starts to chase for the UCL position for next season (now that we've only UCL to play for after failing in all other cup competitions).

thats a bad run in jan, with vdv and bale out with injury spurs cant be too attack minded.
the jan transfer window enables cash to change hands and bankers'/agents' pockets to be filled haha...

on the new stadium, if it is located in east london, i think spurs should fuck it lah. spurs is a north london club!
whats your take on this bro?

west ham's chairman david sullivan -
espn
"Daniel Levy's sole argument seems to be that, in his opinion, the stadium won't work with West Ham United as the tenants. We beg to differ. What we know won't work is having a north London club having a stadium in the Borough where we have been for over 100 years. It doesn't feel right, as it isn't right. Any right-minded person would agree with us.
"Just imagine if Manchester United wanted to build as new football stadium in Bolton, it would be wrong. The Spurs plan is no different."

Bro,
DS can say whatever he wants, he maybe saying all these being worried about their bid.

Human are the greatest migrant in the world. Hence, wherever spurs' new stadium is located, spurs supporters will be the one that benefits from the new facilities.

I have no qualms over where it is located becoz I am viewing the matches here. However, the local supporters may have additional inconvenience. Having said that true Lily White supporters should never mind a little inconvenience, as long as the team progresses.

Bro Castrol,
4 matches below, what's your take:
1) Man U vs Man City;
2) Arsenal vs Wolves;
3) Sunderland vs Spurs;
4) Fulham vs Chelski.

Just my own opinion as a Spurs supporter (Heart over Mind):
1) Whatever the result for this match will benefit Spur;
2) Hopefully, Wolves can do what they did to Man U again to Arsenal. This will also benefit Spur as well;
3) Hopefully, Spur will not let the opportunity slipped again. However, Sunderland is a different team from previous season. I just hope that Darren Bent's touch will be missed;
4) Hopefully, Fulham can at least draw Chelski. This will benefit Spur too.

Realistically (Logic prevails):
1) Man U should be too strong for Man City at Old Trafford, but draw likely to be the result;
2) Arsenal unlikely to loose ground at Emirates;
3) Hard fight for Spur;
4) Fulham got a tough job in hand to want to beat Chelski unless Chelski has another off-day on Monday.

My main concentration will be on Sunderland vs Spur.

You are right, Bro.

We have been suffering in silence. Feng Shui has it own cycle, I just hope our cycle is here to stay.

Whether or not we win EPL, UCL, FA Cup, or Carling Cup may not be as important as being recognised as a team in contention. To-date a lot of people still have that type of smile when I told them I'm a Spurs fan. Many a times, a great result will be put down as a one-off result.

Many other teams' fan will not even give credit to Spurs for being a top 4 contender this year. Whether we are top 4 at the end of the season is another matter, but at least we are challenging for it.

We do have our shortcomings. May I ask who doesn't? Maybe our reputation has not been there as a top team, but I think we should be making heads turn with this season.

So I hope that all others could give some slack and have a look at the run of results we have over the last 2-3 seasons and please give credit where credit is due. Thank you!!!

Below is the report of this morning's lost to Blackpool:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report/_/id/292998?cc=4716

Kudos to the Tangerines. They are sharper and make their chances count. I have always stated that our strikers are very wasteful and this is when we get caught with wastefulness. We are also short of clean sheets, hopefully, the goal differences will not get to us by the end of the season.

I would propose to Harry to start looking for a capable goalkeeper and great defenders. We have a very strong midfield and strike force, but we need them to gel right from the back to the front.

Hopefully, we can make UCL this year, it is not looking bright as of now as we keep letting the so-called "easy" games slipped through our fingers. We are still a bit short when it comes to killing the game off.

ESPN

Tottenham Hotspur's position as one of the glory teams of British football was cemented in 1961, when they became the first English team to do the Double in 21st century. That was one of two championships the club has won, but they have added 15 major cups to their collection - including, in 1963, the first European trophy won by an English club.

If Charlie Adams comes to Spurs, we may end up with a fat tummy. Slim defence, misfiring attack and too many midfielders. In my opinion, we should strengthen the defence and work on our strikers.

Spurs has quality, Harry has shown that he can gather the quality and produce some results. However, we should not stop there, we should work on the quality we have and probably work on strengthening the physio team, which may be critical when it comes to the crunch time.

1) Look at just how much colour/width Spurs lost after losing Bale.
2) How about the inability of the strikers to score this season (often relying on VDV, which turn out to be critical in our chase for top 4)?
3) How about the leaky defence? Often than not, we let in too many goals, which may come to haunt us if it goes down to goal difference/
4) Our keepers are not guarantee safe hands. With the main goalkeeper whining too much for nitti-gritty challenge while the deputy getting older and older. Buying goalkeepers and not using them.
5) So many players go on loan outwards is not making great business sense. If these are players in the improvement plans, then make sure they play for Spurs. Young players on loan, older players also on loan. If they are not within you plan, stop buying.

The way I look at it, we are in for a tough end to the season if we want to capture top 4 again.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Hopefully, everything will turn out fine.

well bro, without fabregas and van persie, arsenal struggled too. call them star players if you like, but they are the anchors or the rudders of the ship.

sometimes i feel the current defenders are not menacing enough. they have to start giving away bruises.
