Hi bro, empathise with your plight but as long as you are safe an well.....already lucky liao. Tons of things can happen overseas.

An immigration officer once asked me for SGD50 at HCM airport cos i forgot to print my flight itinerary. damn suay. i just gave him the money to avoid more problems. I wonder anyone experience this when entering HCM at the airport.

now i appreciate my local friend more for not allowing me to go almost anywhere without him in HCMC. Will be there next week.

Take care, be safe & have fun!

I kena the same thing too at the airport asking where is my return flight ticket. I handed him my Iphone n show him my email. He said no, he wants a printed copies. I said I don't hv it n just stand there looking at him. I guess he is waiting for me to give him kopi money but after awhile he just returned the passport to me n let me go. So when the next time I went HCM, I choose a female immigration officer which I think girl r not that greedy...yes, is true, she didn't asked for anything n return my passport

Thanks for the report on the latest scam.

In more than 5 years of living in Vietnam, with exit and entry at Tan Son Nhat Airport practically every month (so more than 60 exits and entries), never have I ever been asked for a printed flight itinerary.

But then again, my passport has the VN visas, entry and exit stamps and I speak Vietnamese to the immigration officers, so less likely that they will try something funny with me.

Thanks bro. I was asked for my return flight itinerary too, but no problem. he changed his mind and let me go before I took out my flight itinerary.

I had been flying in and out monthly for past 6 years...never encountered once had I been asked to give money or any funny things...ask me when i fly back is common question...yes, I speak Vietnamese to the officer...and my passport cleared within seconds sometimes the officer also could not believe to be so fast...btw, never had visa and just too many entry and exits stamps that the officer only say welcome again to Vn...:)

Two samsters were travelling with me and they too had breezed thru the ICA without fanfare...:)

the exchange rate we got...11 Oct - 16,850....14 Oct - 16,880...:)

Well, my last trip to HCM, the CB officer didn't even take my passport or look at me, just asked for RETURN ticket... So i just show to him with a smile (that says I know what you are up to lah..).

There are 2 things:
1. Do not choose the shortest cue or that is manned by an old CB faced male officer.

2. Get ur RETUN ticket ready, just in case. If u do not buy one, at least edit from one of the used tickets and print.

If u didn't do 1 and 2 and that cb officer asked for RETURN ticket, u always can say want to talk to Singapore Embassy about ticket.

:D

3 years in HCM going in and out almost every month... cb officer never asked for return air ticket.

I dun even need to speak Vietnamese

just show passport...scan , chop and return back to me

oops... got speak tv.... I will say cam on after they ret me my passport and move on.

only got that one time during tet... one cb officer asked me for sgd notes as souvenir. I just reply ...ko co sgp tien. full stop .... and just walk away

anyway not a hassle to print out your e-ticket in case they asked for it .... but it never happened to me.

old CB faced male officer could be tell-tale sign.... better to look at the stars on their shoulder.

Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)

My first ever trip to HCM, to Vietnam in fact. 4D3N FR...sry no gals pic, only food, sry
Day 1 - Arrived HCM airport in the morning and proceed to take cab to hotel, taking in all the new sights as the cab moved slowly in the morning peak hour traffic, saw many babes riding bikes, enjoying the behind views :)
Reach hotel just in time to go breakfast with the rest of the guys, I was the last to arrive, We had dimsums then we broke off into smaller groups, some went massage, some went shopping, I follow the grp to drink kopi, took it easy as first day. Senior brought us to his usual kopi hangout, all the waitress were chio sia, one seated next to me and it was Google translate the usual greetings and normal chit chat, time flew and we went to next location, techno kopi house this time, its like a techno pub but we drank kopi, with live DJ spinning the disc, MMs here were even more chio.

Late lunch at 2pm plus, had this great duck noodles with a whole fried duck leg.

after that went back hotel to take a break before dinner and night entertainment. come evening all fall in at lobby and off we went for Black Chicken soup dinner gota build up energy for 2nd round.

After that we proceed to go to this KTV huge room, all 8 of us plus each selected 2 gals, 32 hot bodies in a single room. Senior bro shouted out, Any gal wearing a bra to chase her out. I quickly inspected both gals, very hard nipples spotted ....party time sia....these gals were real drinkers, and know how to partyyyy played dices, sang songs one sat on my lap while the other lean on my shoulder, both trying to get my affections for the end part...who do I pick to take back hotel....hmmmm

we finished at ard 11 plus and I chose the gal who could speak little chinese cause no Viet for me. was that a bad choice, I would know later.

All had supper near hotel then off to room, then my gal chu pattern told me she could still till 1am only, that ment ST only, nvm, was also tired since first day, so did the deed and sent her off with hugs and kisses. went to sleep at 2am. ...end of day 1

Makashi 16-10-2013 10:59 PM

Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)

Day 2 - Woke up with sore throat from singing and bit hangover from lousy ability to drink. went breakfast with some of the guys near hotel, after that I join in the massage grp this time, went to massage place and we picked our gals, brothers chose one with a stronger built cause me big size, all 6 of us proceed to the room, massage was good and the gal had good strength as she stepped on my back, 2 hrs flew by. paid up and went nearby for lunch, had porridge tasted quite good after massage. after that went back to kopi house for kopi and talk talk with MM before we head back to take a break before dinner. Dinner was good as we had authentic Viet food, please refer to pics. We ate so much the waitress were looking at us funny.

http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/...013-WA0006.jpg

http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/...013-WA0007.jpg

No night entertainment tonight as one bro already went back and some going back next day also, tired. but as I needed company since last night ST only, asked senior to call the KTV mama from last night to send over the other gal that was seated with me. ON, tonight no more lonely. she arrived 10 plus and we watch a movie on tv first before we got into action, after that hug her closed as we slept thru the night. woke up morning feeling horny so did another round before

Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)

Day 3 - Breakfast near hotel consist of a pork leg + crab meat noodle soup, Food here is really good. Today's agenda was shopping, so off we went first to get kopi products, went to this kopi place for kopi first then downstairs to get those 3 in ones to bring home, price not bad, bought a few boxes myself, then off to get T-shirts and a bag, Lunch we had Duck noodles again as one of the bros missed it the first time, after that went back hotel rest and start packing since leaving tomorrow.

Tonight dinner only left 4 of us, so decided go for nearby cheap and good food, Fried rice with whole fried chicken leg.
http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/...014-WA0053.jpg

followed by some street food, finally got to eat my French Loaf, good and cheap local subway. went back hotel and senior asked if I needed lady company for final night, so I called KTV mama again, ask her send a decent one over, no idea who she would send, exciting waiting for gal to come, 10plus gal arrived, not bad, out of the 3, this one most cheerful and best GFE, auto hug me and not let go the whole night. I was a happy fat man....

Day 4 final - had breakfast nearby then went back hotel to pack up and got ready to leave. This has been a good trip for me, Thanks to bros who looked after me, who laughed with me and 2 of you who framed me with those empty plate YOU ate but pushed to me side, the next table uncle keep looking at me and shaking head....I ONLY ATE ONE PLATE..wheres the yellow river for me to jump in. Sry no gals pics, only food.......

Define 'normal'.

I have a red passport, pink IC and once carried a SAF 11B for 2.5 years. I have contributed to 3 accounts: OA, SA and MA.

I am by most definitions, a normal Singaporean. :D

Better not say that, unless you want to try bluffing that you are a diplomat.

Otherwise if the immigration officer got any balls, he will say,

Anh dep trai oi, ve may bay la chuyen rieng cua anh, co lien quan gi voi Lanh Su Quan Singapore? Duuuuuuu maaaaaaaa...

Translation:

Brother dep trai, plane ticket concerns the private individual, what has it got to do with the Singapore Embassy? (in HCM is Consulate, not Embassy) #($$@*#$&%#(...

Regarding your #1, sorry but I disagree. I always choose the shortest queue and I prefer the older CB faced male officers (because I look at the rank and choose those that seem to have henta kaki - nicer to talk cock with because they obviously very sianz liao!) Muahahaha :p
