Bro,

I agree totally that Crouch has no reason to do that.

Gomes has perform very badly this season. I think Harry should really looked at getting another keeper.

Lucas is doing fine when Liverpool is playing badly. However, Jenas looks lost everytime he played. He is not suitable for defensive mid, he's more offensive mid.

ok bro, let casillas concede 3 then he gets a red card so the replacement keeper will concede the 4th. :D

spurs 3 stoke 2
stoke played it like a cup final. bale is obviously off colour, huddles shone on his return.

Bro,

Wah!!! You very good imagination leh...

How about this...
I think Casillas likely to concede 1st yellow card & 1st goal via penalty (2nd min), then probably concedes another penalty and got sent-off(10th min), then the replacement goalkeeper went on to concede the resulting penalty (inclusive of a second penalty and a direct sending off on 18th min), Ronaldo to keep goal as a substitute goalkeeper and he concedes four more goals (18th min, 44th min, 72nd min & 89th min). Spurs concede 1 goal on 87th min. Final aggregate score : 6-5 to Tottenham.

It is good to dream. :D

Bro,

I think Bale played ok, but Corluka & Assou-Ekotto looks off colour defensively.

I think we should approach the Real return game with the determination that Crouchy shown in this game. Besides Crouch, Pavy, VDV, Modric, Huddlestone & Dawson played well. I am still not comfortable with Gomes this season. He doesn't looked like the goalkeeper we had last season, this season there were too many whining from him.

Just hope we can give a good account of ourselves against Real this week.

haha i think cronaldo can be gaykeeper only.

spurs is level goal against madrid in asianbookie, this is weird as spurs need the goals. so is the schalke game, inter not giving balls despite 2-5 down...

Manchester Utd vs Chelsea 1.95 - 0:1/4 - 1.95
Shaktar Donetsk vs Barcelona 1.95 - 1/4:0 - 1.95
Schalke 04 vs Inter Milan 2.00 - 0:0 - 1.90

Crouchy & Pavy,
Please see the Liverpool vs Man City match report, Vincent Kompany can be dominated and once he gets dominated, Man City will concede goals:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id=293187&cc=4716

To Dawson and fellow defenders,

Please beware of Andy Carroll's ability to dominate play, there's also Kuyt and Suarez form to be wary of. Spurs defence need to be vigilant in our last 2nd match of the season.

Folks: The chances of Spurs 5, Real 0?

We need a bloody darn HUGE miracle to pull this through. So to have some respect, with graceful exit, they need to win 3-0. To command God-almighty AWESOME fear, that's 5-0. And for God's sake, the chances of more red cards for Spurs is now higher. They would be desperate to stop the deluge of goals.

And Spurs have been know to make great comebacks too. So we all better pray hard, watch with a steel heart.

Come on you Spurs...you got to have true grit this time. If you watched We were soldiers, you know how it's like to face overwhelming odds and still come out on top.

Bro,

Both Bro Castrol and myself are just building castle in the air. I think 3-0 is also a tall order. I only hope for 2-0 without conceding anymore goal/s because realistically we have not been able to keep that many clean sheets, with Gomes, and win respectable this season.

It is the end of the road for this season's UCL for Spurs, see report below:

We didn't win the match and we let in a silly goal, haizzz... What to do? Buy a more reliable goalkeeper if we are looking at europe again.:)

It may just be the begining if we could finish Top 4 in EPL again.

I would like to take this opportunity to THANK YOU TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS for such a wonderful UCL experience and really really hope that we can experience it again next season.

Bro,

There are times where we have to be critical about performance, but at this junction, I believe we should show some sort of appreciation as it is afterall the efforts of the players, staff and club that got us this far.

Now we really need to focus on the final 7 matches of the season with Arsenal, Man City, Chelski & Liverpool amongst them.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London

Below is a report of what Gomes is gunning for:
http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news...ur-150411.html

I do hope that Gomes let his hands/gloves do the talking then his mouth becoz his hands/gloves are not doing what he says for many a times this season.

Personally, I would also hope that he starts to realised that he is employed to help the team consistently, not like what he said inside the report: “I’m very disappointed and it wasn’t an easy moment for me, but I know that I’ve helped the team as well. It’s tough but I have to keep going.”

He has made it tough for himself by not concentrating and whining too much this season.

Although I have been supporting him since he started at Spurs, but I do think an internation goalkeeper committing such a howler can be accepted, especially when all his team-mates is trying very hard to get a result. He has to realise that such a mistake just take the steam off everyone playing.

I hope that he can let his work do the talking for the remaining games to justify the his determination to gun for Top 4. Hope that Harry will issue a challenge to him and the defence to keep 7 clean sheets.

I don't think we can just rely on the strikers given their poor form in EPL this season. If we can shut the door, we will at least not lose a game, hence, increase our probability to win. Points is important as we are way behind in terms of goal difference.

Report of Bale winning PFA award below:
http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news...rd-170411.html

Bale has come a long way since I kept mentioning, that he cared more about his hair than football, a couple of years ago. He has mature and shown that he looks better with his football doing the talking.

He should look forward and improve his game further especially his variety of foray of runs and free-kicks. He has shown that he can adapt to different runs, but he must adapt his run to different play as well as his variety of free-kicks in different scenarios.

i watched the replay of the match at the lane and I am very sure madrid's defender raul albiol clipped pavy in the box on the 25th. it was a clear penalty but the referee didnt give anything.

in the el clasico 1-1 draw recently, you should see the way albiol man-handled barca's david villa which resulted in a penalty.

can you imagine albiol and puyol paired together in central defence?

Bro,

I think we've to play to the whistle in every match, if the penalty or foul or corner is not awarded, play on.

Spurs suffer a big big lesson in the match against Man U, in which Nani scored a free goal, even with all the controversy surrounding it, the final score stood.

No one can overturn such incidents in english football except for the referee during the match unless the match is stopped half-way.

Anyway, the game is over. The focus must be back to gaining top 4, which should be the case since the beginning of the season. Look at Everton's last seven games, they are doing what Spurs is unable to do this season, which is to kill off teams that are in the relegation zone.

Hopefully, Harry could perform another magic in the last seven games, namely:
20 Apr - home, Arsenal
23 Apr - home, West Brom
30 Apr - away, Chelski
7 May - home, blackpool
10 May - away, Man City
15 May - away, Liverpool
22 May - home, Birmingham
In previous encounters, Harry would always says that it is difficult against these teams when Spurs lost. So this time round what say you, Harry?

Tom Huddlestone scored with a typically brilliant long-range effort to make it 3-2

Tottenham Hotspur
Rafael Van der Vaart (7')
Tom Huddlestone (44')
Rafael Van der Vaart (pen 70')

Arsenal
Theo Walcott (5')
Samir Nasri (12')

Bro,

In this case, I guess it should be "You win some, You lose some" attitude. At least, we didn't lose to Arsenal in the EPL this season, 4 points from 2 matches against the gunners is something to build on. However, we have only win once in the last 4-5 games, this is not very healthy.

We are leaving our fate to others as well as relying on the Man City game.

I think the team spirit for yesterday's match is something to build on for the last 6 matches. If Modric, Crouch or Sandro had scored, it would have been different. We also cannot rely on the leveling of point with Man City at the end of the season becoz we have an inferior goal difference.

Basing on last year's 4th position's 70 points, we can only afford to drop 2 points in our last 6 matches while Man City can afford to drop 4 points.

Let's hope that Spurs played for their lives and make every opportunity to score count.

no sooner have you spoken bro, 2 pts dropped, at the lane...
i couldnt see west brom scoring the equalizer, no way at all until cox delivered that lob out of the blue from outside the box.

consolation is, both of my favourite spurs strikers pavy and defoe scored.

Bro,

Guess what Harry got to say about the draw, please see URL below:
http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news...at-230411.html

Another 2 points drop against a team beginning with "W", below is a summary of how Spurs fare against the "W"s this season:
Wigan - 1 draw 1 lost;
West Brom - 2 draws;
Wolves - 1 win 1 draw; and
West Ham - 1 draw 1 lost.
1 win 5 draws 2 losts, total 8 points out of a possible 24, dropping 16 points. If Spurs manage to get 12 points out of possible 24 from these 4 teams this season, Spurs wouldn't have to worry too much now. Hence, I do not think Harry should encourage such mentality with his comments.

We have to bear in mind that we may not even qualify for Europa League next season becoz Liverpool is coming in strong and we still have to play Chelski, Man City and Liverpool. All three of them in a run-in form.:(

Hopefully, everything will turn out fine.

yes the Ws are killing spurs this season hahaha... the worst part is, most of the Ws are struggling at the bottom. surely spurs must be the draw specialist of the month.

Bro,

It is ok to be positive, but I hope Harry is not taking it lightly though.

I think we should be up for the draw specialist of the season as well becoz:
Fulham is leading with 15 draws;
Everton & Birmingham close behind with 14 draws; and
Wigan & Spurs are both at 13 draws.

Hence, with your prediction of the Chelski's draw, Spurs is likely to be closing in on Fulham or Everton or Birmingham.:D

I would like to be greedy a bit to hope for a win at Chelski, but my logical thinking is telling me 1 point is a blessing as this season Spurs' fighting spirit is used in UCL and not EPL, unlike last season.

from another perspective, spurs could have been sitting quite pretty in 4th position due to liverpool's crisis if not for man city's multi $$$ overhaul.

chelski 2 spurs 1

the game started 1230am and i didnt watch it. but the report from espn left me bewildered.
for many fucking years spurs have kana many screwed up referee decisions.
anyway let me catch the replay while i drown myself with beer over this... :(

http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/...30_576x324.jpg
A late goal from Salomon Kalou earned Chelsea a controversial 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge, with both the hosts' goals awarded in contentious circumstances.

espn
The fact that hapless referee Andre Marriner and his uncertain side kick Mike Cairns took ten seconds to decide whether Lampard's long-range effort had crossed the line after it leaked through the hands of flapping Tottenham keeper Heurelho Gomes confirmed that they were uncertain over the validity of their decision.

However, the goal that should never have been was eventually awarded after the Chelsea fans piled the pressure on assistant Cairns, who offered an embarrassed nod when asked whether the ball has crossed the line. It was clear that he didn't know whether the ball had crossed the line, but that did not stop him giving a goal.

The officiating horror did not end there. With the clock ticking down on Chelsea's belated title charge, Salomon Kalou was allowed to score a dramatic late winner to break Tottenham hearts, even though TV replays confirmed he tapped in from close range while standing in an off-side position. This time, it was assistant referee Martin Yerby who had made the wrong call.
