For me, this wouldnt be bad news if the deal does go through.

Hope we can squeeze extra cash out of him & get some decent players

think we should sell him too.... but NOT cheaply... must squeeze at least 30 mil out of inter...

i rated him very highly as a def mid, but it's obvious tat his heart is not with us, so no point keeping him...

there're cheaper version around... :D:D:D

The lack of transfer funds to buy better players to improve the team. Someone must have promised him when he signed the contract extension that funds will be available to buy better players. The funds didn't turn up. He doesn't wish to just challenge for 4th place. Even if he stays, we can't afford to buy the players necessary to sustain a title challenge.

must be, torres n reina n macsh not too pls that rafa s gone n also the sale of reira as not pls the spanish players,RH shd have blocked the sale of reira instead of saying that the club wants to sell him(maybe the owners did like his sinking ship comment)even 4 the case of insua RH shd have blocked his move.he has done nothing, even the signing of j.cole was done by the club, that scottish fullback who signed recently was also dealt with in april.its going to be a long hard seson 4 us,even top 4 will be hard as m city r spending like nobodys biz,i belive toress will not leave till his contract his up,he loves pool n i don t think he will move to another bpl club,i don t think the club r trying hard enuff to keep the players.

Just heard on BBC radio sports roundup.

The announcer quoted RH as saying in the event mascherano is sold and they cannot get a suitable replacement, he is not too worried as he sees another world class defensive midfielder in Dirk Kuyt !
RH plans to convert Dirk Kuyt into a defensive midfielder?

best if can keep all the stars... even if sell and got transfer kitty, it is not easy to lure a star signing unless can take a few from man city reject list.

I just don't understand the situation at LB. We let Aurelio leave and sold Insua. Granted both aren't the best of LBs but shouldn't we have signed replacements first before letting them go? It's not as if we got a lot of money from selling Insua who is our homegrown player.

Now other clubs know we desperately need to get a LB soon and will surely jack up prices to test our resolve. It was the same issue 10 years ago when we sold Danny Murphy and then realised no one else can play in right midfield.

Fair play to the idea but it's jacking up the already prices of English players. It will benefit the biggest spenders and those near the bottom which already have a majority of home-growns. Not us unfortunately. We have to start blooding some youngsters and hope they are ready.

With limited resources at his disposal RH have no choice but to bank in on some of the youngsters . Hopefully he can groom them to become like Germany in the recent concluded World Cup.

I won't be surprise that Torres will be sold to raise the much needed cash . As I am sure RH would not be getting much cash from the current owners. I also won't blame Torres if he had wanted to move to another club to taste better success. Torres had done a lot of Liverpool and even if he decides to go off to another club we wish him all the best.

At the rate we are going , we need players in almost every department. From the looks of things RH is rebuilding Liverpool FC .

At the ways things are going, it will be a miracle if a buyer will come in. Interested parties are sitting on the fence waiting to see how long the 2 bloody Yankees can take it or out the club into administration and do a fire sale.

2 leftbacks gone, Riera gone, yossi gone, mas going, torres neither here nor there. This rebuilding is worse than a positive project. All I'm hoping is to see us squeeze back into cl and for some good youngsters to make the cut into the first 11 and lift the doom and gloom feeling of anfield.

All we have signed now is 2 signed youngsters and 2 free transfers one of whom which is not proven in the pace of epl but get some credit in the wc.
