I have to say that I have never heard of anyone having worse luck than you just did the past couple days. I mean you already understand why these things happened, so I won't say a word about that, I can't add anything you haven't thought of yourself already. Just hope you can salvage the trip with a good experience on your last day. Will you be returning some time? Especially people in these vice trades.

To me...they cry father mother...I will nego with them at lobby ( so u can qc) and say do first pay later.
They are more in need than u...and they travelled there.

Found a lady from wechat and she turned out to be different from the photos. He made off with my phone when I turned around to walk to the atm. I have to admit it was a mistake on my part. I should have erected my defenses instead of my dick when I heard him saying he wanted to call the girl first. Luckily. I had some spare change and was able to find my way back.

Looks like my trip to HCM is going to be ruined this time. I'm not going to trust any viet gals and motorbike guys from now. Learnt the hard way. Hope all the bros don't make the same mistake as me.

Hope this sums up the basic things to watch out for if you are a first timer in HCM

1 ) Do not purchase a taxi coupon at the airport. Go out and que for VINASUN or MAI LINH taxis. The others will slaughter you.

2 ) If you travel light. Walk into hotels and ask the rates and view the rooms. Very competitive industry so they will oblige you. What you see on websites are sometimes different from actual. Get recommendations from.members here

3) Shopping in Ben Thanh....do not be afraid to slash the price by half. Walk away and you will be counter offered ! If you hate bargaining, walk along the outer ring where you see staff in light blue uniform. Fixed prices.

3) Never take a gal from a motorbike no matter how gorgeous they look. Motorbike pimps too. Gals get fake IDs and cannot be traced. A classmate did not listen and lost usd2000 after he fell asleep.

4) Do.not use your handphone while walking along the road. Ladies....Keep your handbags on the inner side of the road

5) Do.not.flash your money when paying..Like crocodiles, you cannot see them.but they are watching you. Be careful....the Vnd500,000 has been mistaken for Vnd20,000 due to the colour alrhough thr size is different.

6) Avoid moto taxis at night. Savings may be very costly.

7) Just be alert of your surroundings to avoid problems

Enjoy yourselves but stay safe ya.

Reading through your posting, kinda difficult to believe. You been cheated 3 times in a row total US$350. Rather than you waste your money this way, just go to expat bar or club to select girl for overnight.

i am quite surprised the night shift staffs never approach u asking if u want gals..:confused:

getting the staffs to bring gals is a better choice rather then ownself finding wechat gals if u dunno the language

Btw, a funny thing happened on my 1st or 2nd night. I was strolling alone at night when a motorcycle with 2 gals came close to me twice. The pillion gal made eyes at me and spoke in Viet. Unfortunately, I couldn't understand what she was saying and left it at that. Perhaps that is an invitation for boom boom or it could be another scam job. :(

I would throw in here that a friend of mine was with a group recently that went to D-Maxx on the corner of Ton That Tung street and Suong Nguyet Anh, near Nguyen Thi Minh Khai in district 1.
