Yeah it's crazy expensive there, each beer 170 or so. And they assign your table hostesses and multiple waiters, all expecting generous tips. What blew me away there was how they had turned squeezing customers into an assembly line operation with high tech communications right on the floor. My girl (who I knew already from another bar she worked at before) was receiving live instructions from "Public Relations" via Zalo (pretty sure it was Zalo) using a Galaxy tab that was on our table. That combined with waiters constantly whispering instructions into her ear of what to say to me, it was so intrusive it was ridiculous. I was there to talk to someone I already know, but couldn't cuz they put their business first, wouldn't let that happen. She was in her training period, by the way, so that was one factor. She just got the job a few days earlier.

Is that suppose to be a shocker for paying expensive drinks in a club or pub. As Vietnam progresses be prepare to pay even more. If not how the boss going to park his lavish car in front and pay the staff. Gone are the days when VN will be cheap and value for money holiday destination. The poor and the illiterate will be left behind, while the rich with the right connections will be spending their new found wealth. It is we the consumers that is funding for their lifestyles, you have the power to do what is right.

I'm very sorry bro, can't give you the address as I don't have it. It was my brother (a Local) who brought me there. Not knowing TV is like btw a duck and chicken. Heard from my VN friend that now there is this scam where the syndicate will put an empty wallet on the ground. As soon as a victim picked it up, one guy will come in and say the wallet is his. Then will open the wallet to check for money. The guy will claim that all the money inside is gone and the victim took it. At this point, another 2 or 3 guys will close in to make the victim take out his money in his wallet and of course they will take all.

The plot very similar to PRC type..

Was there last week, found a damn chio FL in wechat; she quoted USD60/hr. Been there done that , i cannot say i very pro in this but is always good to tell them you go vietnam for work, will come every month or so and shit, chances are they be more hook into you. Foreigner mean more $$$ to them as a lot looking to get out of vietnam.That what some of the girls i know told me.

Ha, well that is the thing, the choice is not mine actually. :) If I have have to pay $1.3 million to drink a little over two Tiger beers with a girl I know, this is not something I can afford to do except for a special occasion. You have a point in that "expensive" is, strictly speaking, relative to the person who says something is expensive, if that is what you mean. If you have an income over $100,000 US then maybe you would not consider that to be expensive, because it's much cheaper than the imported champagne you normally drink at other high end venues -- though I think even then you would notice that it costs more than almost any other place you could find in Saigon. Here in the thread, we tend to use the word to mean the looser definition, that something costs more than typical pricing. If we didn't do that then we could never use words like "expensive" or "cheap" or "attractive" or "better".

Your 2nd point about you get what you pay for, I'm not sure I can go along with that one either. As a very general trend I do think it's true. Like if you pay 2 million for short time, then maybe 60% of the time you will get a good effort and very attractive girl. But I'm sure most of us here have also experienced duds at those prices, and also have seen unattractive girls quoting those prices. And I have had incredibly good service from extremely attractive girls in the past at unbelievably low prices. One that jumps to mind is one from around 2007 who was 200,000 and gave me GFE rim jobs, her idea, in addition to enthusiastic sex and warm hugs afterward. (at the moment I can not think of another girl who gave me better service than that one, ever) But ok yes, no one should expect that level of service or hotness at the low end of the scale. But for sure there is no hard rule that the more you pay the better what you get. When a rule has that high a percentage of exceptions, it's no longer what you can fairly call a "rule". More of very loose and general and spotty pattern.
