And he isn't only a hard worker. As he got older, he has become more intelligent and while he will never have speed, he has done well in link up play.

And he's extremely versatile. :)
I think I read somewhere RH wanted to convert him into a LB if he couldn't get a replacement LB in. :D

Dun tink the BPL is suitable for Aquaman.
He is like Fernando Morientes.... very talented but too soft for the physical style of the BPL.

So its official now, on loan back to his native country where the game is not so physical, doubt he will come back with any difference.

Huang has pulled out on the deal, must be the Yankees again, fingers cross...

1-0 to City HT, anyone else watching?

We were second best most of the half - 4-4-2 with Ngog and Torres is a big gamble, and Milan has been ineffective on the left.

3-0 to City, and it's a really humiliating defeat. Except for some sporadic attacks, City were clearly better than us (Tevez, Hart and Johnson were terrific).

Again, 4-4-2 didn't work for us - Ngog was poor but Hodgson persisted with him to the end. Nothing from Milan too, but Maxi was not used...sigh.

Not convinced we had the strongest side out there tonight - Poulsen should have started ahead of Lucas, and Maxi for Ngog.

very sian....

dissappointed dat masch did not start. if he did, i tink we could have contained de midfield better....and de goals were a bit soft to let in too...hart made saves from even more difficult shots (including that 3-shot salvo in the second half) compared to those dat pepe let in :(

Sigh, agreed, they were soft goals to concede. Pepe (I'm not blaming him for the goals) didn't have a save to make until the penalty and he went the wrong way again (never looked like he believed he could save it). :(

Mascher - he needs to go now as it is hurting the team. Just take the money and Helb (not a bad player at Arse), no point making him stay and we could use the money to get a good striker to play an effective 442.

Don't think masch will be around much longer...I read that he is totally distracted by the pursuit of him by Barcelona....I actually rate him very highly and will be sad to see him leave but for as long as his heart is longer with the club, it is better to let him go.

Apparently, Barcelona is offering a price of around 21 million pounds, but Hodgson is trying to hold out for 25 million pounds....IMHO, Hodgson should just accept the offer. Whats the point of another 4 million pounds when masch didn't even want to play for us last night (read an article in News Now Liverpool that states masch went on strike last night...wtf!). Quite unlike Milner, when he even scored for Villa before he up and went to Man City....

Very dissapointed with the result last night, we were always second best to say the least...looks like a long hard season ahead again! :o

din watch the match, but was damn disappointed to read abt the score n report tis morning... to lose by 3 goals was a bit unexpected...

but looking at the line-up, a 4-4-2 formation against man city's a 5- man midfield of barry. milner, adam johnson, yaya toure n de jong (all of them r muscle man), we will never able to boss the midfield and resulted in lack of supply to our forwards...

the team need to pick themselves up quick for thurs europa lge match...

I'm lost for words.

Now we must get rid of all ill influence in the team.

heard commentator saying it was 23 million pounds + hleb but pool is asking for 30 million UKP. agree hleb is prob not a bad choice espeically we still get 23million on top of him being FOC.

Definitely, even if we force him to stay this season, end of it his contract will be only 1 year and his price will be halved.

I'm looking forward to Poulsen in midfield, he had a decent game against the Turks. We can still have a good season if we get our players match fit (Torres obviously wasn't), get another striker and get Cole back from suspension.

What really hurt was seeing City pass the ball neatly and quickly around the pitch and the quality in attack that the millions could buy.

It was sadly really beggars vs millionaires. And the City squad has only been around a few weeks. sigh.

I'm hoping some other football clubs will teach Man City a thrashing lesson this season orelse they will behave more arrogant. Disappointed to see no goals being scored by a great striker like Torres and a great attacking midfielder like Gerrard.

Been watching EPL for so long and its the 1st time seeing so many 6-0 results. This kind of result can normally be found only in a match like Liverpool Vs SAF FC. Machiam like match fixing to me.
