Spanish teen talent Dani Pacheco has agreed a new two-year deal with Liverpool.

Great news!

Kudos to the mgt for their efforts to retain this talented youngster. Hopefully he will get more playing time this season. Else wont be surprised if 1 of the Top 2 in Spain snaps him up one day.

[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]why din we try to sign him?
we need a LB and he's an experience international who had an impressive season with psv n world cup... most importantly he cost only £1.6million...!!!
instead we're rumoured to be linked to a £3~3.5million bid of Paul Konchesky..?

Cheap does not mean good or he can adapt to the BPL. I think RH prefer to play safe and get someone who is oredi familiar with the BPL. Anyway I have watch a few clips of Salcido in action and find him only so so..... playing style is like our old right back flop Komkramp.

I believe RH is doing the right thing and signing the right players to rebuild Liverpool. :D

My MOST HATED player now is JAVIER MASCHERANO !!

Great news!

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/lates...-meireles-deal

Liverpool have completed the signing of Portuguese midfielder Raul Meireles on a four-year contract.

The Reds have paid 14 million euros for the services of the 27-year-old midfielder, who has won four titles with Porto and been capped 38 times by Portugal, including in all four of his country's games in this summer's World Cup

finally, some good news.....

The Reds team vs WBA in full is: Reina, Johnson, Agger, Carragher, Skrtel, Poulsen, Lucas, Gerrard, Kuyt, Jovanovic, Torres.
Subs: Jones, Pacheco, Babel, Spearing, Kyrgiakos, Maxi, Kelly.

actually have expected a more attacking line-up, esp at home... hope to see pacheco n babel having some minutes in the match...

First half still kosong, Liverpool seems to be like the away team at most of the time. :( Omg this is WBA they are playing against the whipping boys of the BPL.

Gone are the days where we used to pass the ball on the ground, in the last decade or so - our managers adopt long rang passing, RH is also adopting this style & champions do not used this tactic.

Only Jovanovic looks a player, the rest is not up to the std in the 1st half especially FT.

Hope 2nd half will be better

Agree dat Jovanovic looks good.

FT had a good second season too in terms of goals per game - 18 goals in 22 games. only thing is did not stay healthy enough to play more often. We would be playing champs league is he had been.

a much improved 2nd half, esp. kuyt is lively after swtching to the left....
nice build up and expertly taken goal...
but overall preformance wasn't satisfying:
- we need a proper LB, agger should be a CB. he was targeted and put under great pressure for the 1st half...
- a lucas-poulsen pairing of CM is not going to work out... no creativity, no pace... hope Raul Meireles can blend into the team fast... or Gerrard to be back to CM when cole back from suspension...
we're denied another clear penalty again, after not given 1 in arsenal match..!!! tis is the 2nd decision went against us in THREE BPL matches...!!!

Milan had a good match? I thought he was awful and showed very little ball intelligence. The entire left side was weak with him in front of Agger and contributed little to attack, which came mostly down the right. I will second Maxi for the next lap of matches.

I was more impressed with Poulsen who had a decent match.

Overall a very unconvincing performance. We did little to put West Brom under sustained pressure, and they passed the ball better than us.

Only 1 quality move saved us from embarrassment: Reina > Kuyt > Torres > Kuyt > Torres.

A goal only Torres among our strikers could score ;)

Thanks for the point. Unbelievable our fans are calling him a fluke.

nothing is unbelievable, that's a role of a striker ..

What amused me even more when most of the fans says mo & rf are flops when they left the club.
They are true legends :D

Anyhow, today's game was lacklustre in terms of our usual standard, what counts is the 3 pts i guess, win ugly..& our current team & owners can only do so much now ..

Guess this is happening everywhere.

We must also count ourselves lucky not to concede one when skrtel as usual his angkong-hand always pulls oppoent in set pieces :D
He has much to learn from old-man Carr ..
