Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)

Quite a few newbies pm me and I had replied all pm.

I am not base in HCM and this had been repeated many times...please click and read my signature before you pm me...:)

even if I happen to be in hcm...I still have my own things to do and my group of friends...impossible for me to meet last minute and share info because of tight schedule...usually I am onlyin hcm for a few days to a week..:)

impossible for me to share info with ppl who i dun know...most of the places I go are local places which require to speak Vietnamese (not in D1)...newbies will not know how to enjoy and communication will be problem...bros Makahi, sunshine, kidne3, mifacafe will testify the fact that newbies will have problem to find the places and also talk to the gals...worst they may spoil the market and making my visits next time a bit more expensive...I usually tell my friends to pay the exact price and not to spoil the playground...I speak vietnmese to the taxi drivers and then most of my friends cannot understand or how to go to some of these local fun places...:)

let's take local cafe with pretty waitresses....most gals cannot speak English or foreign languages...mainly speak Vietnamese...if you dun know the gals...the gals will serve you and leave you alone because the gals dun know you and cannot communicate...so as newbies you will not enjoy these cafes and will just sit there looking around...many newbies may not even find the cafe and taxi drivers may take you a big ride so pay lots of taxi fare...then newbies will not enjoy and thus will write negative forum here that they dun enjoy...the difference is I had been to these cafes many times and I knew some of the gals....these gals will ask their waitresses friends to come sit with my friends...then I will help the gals and my friends who dun speak Vietnamese to start introducing and then they will have some fun while drinking their favorite beverages...these waitresses are not a must to sit with clients...decent cafe place...:)

btw, there are at least few thousands cafe in hcm...bro Singkieu had written the various types of cafe found in hcm...^^

how to be my friend...some of newbies had done the correct thing...that is introduce yourself to me as described in my signature...but I have full time job so I will take my time to go thru each sincere newbie and see if travel timing fits my schedule...and also I shall see who else goes in which month...I try not to have too big group as very difficult to handle and some friends dun like big group...i usually arrange to meet up in Singapore for coffee...then we proceed...if you are a contributor to this forum then very good chance you will be selected...nobody likes a newbie that just registered new accounts although there are exception...I make friends with other Thread Starters and most TS helped each other...btw, I dun charge anything so I had my right to meet or bring friends around in hcm...^^

let me tell newbies - if my friends asked me for the girls contact I will feel offended...same thing now, I felt offended by your pm...

also do you think if i have...will i give my own contacts to newbies who I dun even know who are you..

Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)

My Visit to Mui Ne

Just want to pen down my recent experience to Mui Ne.
Prior to that, there are limited literature about the place for a foreigner like me.
So, maybe i can contribute by saying a few things:

We bought ticket 1 day before in HCMC in one of the tour agency for a 715am bus to Mui Ne. The ticket is around 128K VND and it is like any normal bus. The bus will dropped us at your destination hotel and it took almost 1pm to reach with 2 stops. The bus assistant sulks because he is not familiar with the hotel and dropped us with our bags in the bus. We have to hire a taxi to chase and then go to our hotel @ Sailing Bay Resort (SBR). The taxi fare is around 220K VND. :(

The hotel is superb and it is at the extreme end of the stretch of sea. Imagine that the entire sea side is like a "L" and SBR is at the last tip of the "L". The wind is stronger and wave is high compared to the rest of sea side.
I have been to many resorts in Phuket and Bali and I would say the landscaping is one of the best. Though it is a bit far off from the main stretch.

Mui Ne is a very quiet place compared to Phuket/Bali. Simply because they are literally no working girls and hence night scene are not as crazy as Phuket/Bali. There are just a few bars for drinking purposes. But if you like quietness and nice sea side with a good view, their seaside is anytime better than Patong/Karon beach.

Normal meal will cost you around USD 20K with some seafood. So it is much cheaper than Phuket/Bali. The SBR we stayed was less than USD 80 per night for a garden view suite. Actually the garden view suite has a garden view as well as a sea view, so this is better than a sea view suite.

Going everywhere is not too expensive but the weather is hot. The sun set around 6pm and only the 4-6pm time zone is more bearable for lazy type of people like me. We did not go much places, just laze around the resort and go town for massage and eating.

We actually found a very nice bus back to HCMC. It is around 130K and the company is called Futa Buslines. Their bus are those sleeping seats type and the actually pick us up at our resort to go to a central bus location. The bus is very comfortable hence the long journey don't feel so bad. The journey backed to HCMC took around 7 hours because it has to drop people off at a few stops.

Overall, the mui ne journey is relaxing, and not expensive compared to Phuket/Bali. If you have a girl friend and want to spend 3 days at peaceful place, this is the choice.

Meet Hurricane 88 thru Sailsingapore in June 2013.

Please do not ask him for contacts as all contacts are either his girlfriends , ex girlfriends and fuck buddies.

So far I am in contact with 2 VB and there is no way I will give their contacts to anyone, including SailSingapore.

Hope newbie understand what I meant.

H88 is only provide you with a opening. You can just read his signature.
Aot of people fly solo after an initial push, but I like "old time sake plus chicken shit” hence I will stick with H88 and go VN once a while.

Fun Vietnam.

What I always do is to look for new girls. Those without table.
Order drinks for both of us. And tell them to sit till I leave.

Tip them. And when they see you next day...... Automatically they will come. Haha.

Sometimes the learning problem doesn't lie with the student, but the teacher. ;)
