totally agree... he has successfully taken over from the Great Cheater...!!!

to lose 2-3 after fought back from 0-2 down is giving a extra bitter taste in the mouth...
we gave away 2 soft headers goals... esp the 1st, konchesky who should be guarding the near post went AWOL, while asking torres to mark berbatov is not wise...
their 2nd goal is a good goal, which took some luck to go in too...
special mention to our 2nd goal, a well worked freekick in which one of our player (merieles?) smartly distract and lured their player aay from the wall and created the gap for gerrard to squeeze the ball thru...
while i feel tat the ref was a bit too lenient and let too many foul went away without a card, esp in the 1st half...
and i thot o'shea was the last man when he pulled down torres?! he shouldn't be on the pitch to provide the cross for their last goal..

overall, not too bad a performance and surely we'll continue to improve...!!!
so far, we've already played some tough matches: arsenal (h) man city (a) man utd (a)... let's pick ourselves up and grab as many points before facing chelsea in nov...

Raul was the plug that slowed the scums play.
The moment he was replaced the scums over ran us and managed to get the winning goal.
He was already lembek and did not have the "extra" spring to reach the header.

Good game tonite. Can't really say I'm disappointed.
Our boys did try their best. Well done. :D

well, what need be said had already been summarised by our fellow bros here.

tonite we were killed by the class act of Bebetov. 3 superb goals ... although i felt we should have done better to stop at least 2 of the goals. it's juz one of those nites which the Bulgarian took all the chances that came to him.

im proud of our performance tonite but of cos like all Pool fans hugely disappointed we could not hold on for a respectable draw. im sure most or all of us would not mind to have settled for 2-2.

juz hope the ownership issue gets resolved quickly n the outcome a positive one. seems like it's troubling the players which affected their mindset n performance.

my only consolation is dat we didn't go down 3-0 like against man city. we fought back and at least we made it a fight for them scums. first goal quite worrying cos carra seemed easily beaten by berba. quite surprising for me cos berba is quite the lazy type and carra is usually the aggressive type so didn't expect lazy to beat aggressive.

some say its unfortunate dat 3 of our first 5 games include arsenal, man city and man u but even against west brom and birmingham we were not impressive at all. our next 5 games are sunderland, blackpool, everton, blackburn and bolton - so no more excuses....must get at least 3 wins and 2 draws (11 pts) from these 5 games.

True but Raul also played against Steaua and Maxi has been a disappointment this season for some reason (missing his Argentine kakis?).

Nani showed plenty of pace and we couldn't handle him but we will all have much more respect for him if he played the game honestly.

I don't know what was going on with Torres marking Berbatov (if you call that marking - Berbatov was in front of him).

The key now is we go on a run the next 5 games and play some good attacking football. Roy should go for it. Convince the fans that we can have a good season and give our players some self-belief. We are still injury free, with Kuyt to come back, and it's still a good squad of players.

A bit of positive view, we are able to get 2 goals at OT, the first team to do so this season after going down at 2-0

But on the other hand, having lesser time to rest after Europa league, playing away from Anfield also meeting a top form Berbatov and losing out Kuyt due to injury with the ongoing concern in management and for the team to gel with new players and RH

i think the best player for liverpool was joe cole. he made the right tackles and surged forward everytime he collected a pass. Truly a player with unlimited flair.

the score would have been different if joe looked out for torres and ngog more. both strikers looked starved.

I feel pressure building on Torres cos a few times he tried to take on entire defense...likewise for Ngog there was an opportunity for him to lay on to Torres who was clear on his left but instead Ngog chose to blast the ball sky high...

I find Konchesky not that good, a few times got de-possess and passes get intercepted too often..he had a torrid time handling Nani..

Good, fair posts above.

Fergie is now whining about Torres trying to get O Shea sent off - unbelievable. Even neutrals will agree O Shea was the last line of defence. Credit to RH for taking the ref's bad decision on the chin.

Not surprising that Fergie said nothing about Nani rolling on the ground like a pig in a mud pool.

typical whining from the red-nose....

not only he started rolling on the ground whenever somebody came near and take the ball off him, there was an incident tat he was dispossessed by konchesky and next moment he came right back and lunged in a stud up tackle on the ankle of one of our player (not sure is it konchesky), "trying to win the ball back"... and he get away with a verbal warning for such retaliate action...

tat's why tis season he has finally taken over from ronaldo, he has finally know to apply wat he has learned from the great...

i remember that one, torres was making space for himself before ngog shot it over the moon. anyway i think torres is not back to true form yet, 3 defenders were nothing to him last season.

konchesky is one of the best left backs in epl, try shake him off when he was playing for fulham, he's rock solid. new club, new team mates perhaps.

I dunno about you bros here but its kinda hard to find positives from the game..

Shit Fergie did mentioned in the after-match interview that we didnt control the midfield, and we didnt test Van de Fxxk in goal,
which to a certain extend, he was right..

It seems like we were content to play for draw striaght from the start..
No urgency on attack, passing the ball aimlessly..

Only when we went behind 2-0 then did we slightly wake up..

Yes we earn the penalty and the free-kick but where were the chances we created or even half chance?

Another mystery is Stevie G sitting so deep, he would be much better use in attack..

The next four games are the easier ones and if we dont improve from there,
its really gonna be a long long season.. :(

The 2 incidents that created our scoring chances are when there was only 1 defender marking Torres.. and remember the past few games has been frustrating for Torres because he has not been given much space with 2 or even 3 defenders on him..

gerat at least u watch the game n say it like it is,ngog gave toress abit of space he needed n got the chances 4 the team to hit back but sadly our defending let us dwn.we kept the ball well but we need to get it up fast to toress.toress will give us sumtin if only we can get the ball up to him fast.we can t play it to his feet we need to play it to space so that he cld use his pace n create sumtin.
