Temasek has a hand in both financial institutions. Scarly Ho Jinx decide to merge both and take control of LFC :p

Let me use an example. It's weird because it's like a DBS owned company that advertises for UOB (DBS's direct competitor) by having UOB on the front of its jerseys. Temasek isn't a competitor of RBS or Stanchart.

I think we should discount what ferguson says. He's obviously biased. He should be lucky his player wasn't sent off. The referee got no balls to follow the rules of a game. Last defender foul means sending off.

Let me throw in a guess on why RH responded like that. You know sometimes a person lose a game and then try to pick up fights? The kind of loser where people say 'he lost the game on the pitch so he buay song and now is trying to pick a fight to win something off the pitch?' I think RH didn't rebute Ferguson then because we lost that day. If RH had rebutted him, Ferguson might turn around and say 'you lose already so i can see why you are defending Torries, you sore loser...' RH probably thinks since Ferguson won that day, he can say anything he wants. When we win in future, you watch out cos I know what I'll be saying. A bit of an EQ battle of wits.

our squad travelling to holland for the europa lge tie:

Liverpool squad: Reina, Jones, Johnson, Kelly, Kyrgiakos, Skrtel, Carragher, Shelvey, Poulsen, Lucas, Rodriguez, Spearing, Babel, Meireles, Jovanovic, Cole, Kuyt, Eccleston, Ngog, Torres

with not a single LB in the squad, i guess kelly will be deploy on the left... if anything happen during the match, wonder who will be subsitute for LB...

no gerrard - presume rested for wkend bpl match
no agger - rested?? or out of favour??
NO PACHECO...!!!!! - WHY? WHY? WHY?

despite all those "positive" comments made by RH, saying he'll be given a chance... blah blah blah...
till today, he wasn't given a single minute in any BPL match, and now he is not even given a chance in europa lge match!!!

even with kuyt out injured, jovanovic or maxi hopelessly out of form, or when we were chasing the game and desperately need a creative player, RH din not give pacheco a chance at all...

RH is simply too conservative and take a risk in fielding a inexperience youngster...

got a feeling tat we're risking losing some very exciting youngster if RH stay in-charge for long....

have been giving RH time before jumping onto his back and criticising him, but things r not looking good at all...

That's pretty convoluted bro ;) And it's disproven by the fact that RH did respond in the end - which makes him look weak as well.

To be fair bro, throwing in a youngster when the team is not playing well is not the best time. It might seem logical to us fans, but think about the pressure young Pacheco will face. It's sink or swim. He has to show his ability when the team is suffering - that is unfair to him and fans can be very unforgiving.

I do think he should be given more playing time though, just not to take the place of Kuyt or other regulars. Let me do a sum up of Pacheco's playing time this season:

Europa Cup 3rd qualifying round 1st leg: Rabotnicki 0 Liverpool 2 - Did Not Play, Not on Bench

Europa Cup 3rd qualifying round 2nd leg: Liverpool 2 Rabotnicki 0 - Started, Played 90 mins

BPL: Liverpool 1 Arsenal 1 - DNP, NOB

Europa Cup qualifying round 1st leg: Liverpool 1 Trabzonspor 0 - DNP, On Bench

BPL: Manchester City 3 Liverpool 0 - DNP, On Bench

Europa Cup qualifying round 2nd leg: Trabzonspor 1 Liverpool 2 - On Bench, Played 13 mins

BPL: Liverpool 1 West Bromich Albion 0 - DNP, On Bench

BPL: Birmingham City 0 Liverpool 0 - DNP, On Bench

Europa Cup group match: Liverpool 4 Steaua Bucharest 1 - On Bench, Played 5 mins

BPL: Manchester United 3 Liverpool 2 - DNP, NOB

Carling Cup 3rd round: Liverpool 2 Northampton 2 - Started, Played 105 mins

BPL: Liverpool 2 Sunderland 2 - DNP, NOB

A couple of times, Pacheco has been on the bench and RH has made 2 subs and still had one more left but did not use the final sub.

too bad we were out of league cup early. else RH would have used that as a platform for the youngsters to gain some valuable experience. im sure RH would do the same with FA Cup.

You are talking as if you got a call from anfield. Or you know someone inside? If it's just baseless trash talking, then thanks but no thanks.

We are already in a lot of trouble with the owners. Don't need you to remind us.

Hodgson not prioritising Europa League

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has insisted tat his focus is not on the Europa League tis season, aft his side's poor start 2 the Premier League campaign & early exit fr the Carling Cup.

Hodgson came in 4 criticism 4 playing a weakened side against Northampton Town in the Carling Cup last week, which resulted in Liverpool tumbling out of the competition on penalties @ Anfield 2 a side 3 divisions below them.

Liverpool face wat is on paper a far tougher test against FC Utrecht who, although they r 12th in the Eredivisie table, hv a 100% home record in the league tis season & beat Celtic 4-0 in the Europa League qualifier at Nieuw Galgewaard.

With the FA Cup & Europa League the only competitions which Liverpool can hope 2 challenge 4 tis season, Hodgson insisted he will not be playing 4 success in Europe ahead of the Premier League.

"Our priorities hv been 2 do the best in every competition,'' he said. "Although these days I will be accused of not doing tat because people will say the team I played against Northampton was not the team to win the game.

"There certainly is not the gloom [at the club] tat you would like 2 suggest. But @ the same time I can't say everyone is delighted with the start we hv had becos we r not. We would hv liked 2 hv been sitting near the top of the table with 12 or 14 points & we would hv been happy as sand-boys. Tat's wat we wanted but you don't always get wat you want.''

Hodgson, who said on Wednesday he had not decided whether 2 give striker Fernando Torres his 1st Europa League start against Utrecht, is looking 4 the victory which will take his side 2/3 of the way 2 qualification 4 the knockout stage. Steven Gerrard will definitely be rested & he has not travelled 2 the Netherlands.

"We saw Utrecht beat Celtic 4-0 so we r under no illusions tat we r playing a very good team & we will hv 2 be very good if we r 2 get a result fr the game,'' he said. "9 or 10 points is probably my guess (of wat is required 2 progress) but don't put any money on it becos I'm not very good at predicting these things.''

Hodgson denied hving an interest in Utrecht striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel. He added: "He is doing very well with Utrecht but I would be lying if I said we seriously considered signing him. There was no question of him coming this summer. You've hit me with a name that I didn't know we were linked with."

A guy from a middle table team will always be suited to a middle level team.

A club like Liverpool should be challenging all trophies available although some may argue due to financial problems etc..

He is clearly under pressure now - when you do not have such a big head, do not wear such a big hat.

This season seeing so many optimistic people here a good sign, but gotta give it a miss as any constructive opinions from me are just finding excuses for myself.
