Round 1 to RBS. They win the right of the present board of directors.

Round 2 later tonight. My prediction is that pool will win the court order and we will have new owners.

When was the last time our football journalists found something exciting? I don't have high hopes from them.

The law is not immune to socio-economic issues which is what Liverpool is now; I'm sure good sense will prevail unless the Yanks can suddenly unveil a refinancing plan!

In certain way, the courts will not allow such a prestige brand name to be made kapoot by some money faced yankees. Face of the matter is that LFC does employ quite a few brits.

I am also sure that the judge for this case would have already gone through how capable NESV is to provide LFC with a lifeline to re-establish themselves.

Its all politics my friend. I still remember many years ago after MBS was awarded the contract for the first IR, i loaded up on genting ipo and told a few friends to do the same. I told them the second one will definately go to genting, and as the story goes... "I told you so." :D

Well, if all goes well, be prepared to load up on pool for this weekend derby. :)

Some sense being made here...

It would seem if the courts rule that broughton was acting within his sphere of responsibility then NESV will take over liverpool. G&H case against is a very weak one.

Go read Soccernet. Reported that a certain Peter lim is now making a last min attempt to buy the club.

I'm having my doubts cos he did have the time to up his offer during the closing stages of the bidding.

Where does this leads to? Well, the court hearing is only a few hours away.

4.04pm: JUDGE SAYS IT WOULD BE A "LITTLE AMBITIOUS" FOR THE CASE TO BE SETTLED BY FRIDAY. (In reply to Broughton's QC saying board would desperately like a verdict by then).

oh F**K!

The Courts work on their own time. They dun f*ck care about your deadlines as they have their court procedures to follow. If the QCs employed by the Yanks are worth their salt.... we could see this saga being dragged out beyond the January 2011 window.

I believe they dun even know what they were doing as both of them gave conflicting testimonies in response to the RBS's lawyers questions. :p

Really blur fucks :D

"I am committed to rebuild the club so tat it can soon regain its position at the pinnacle of English and European football where its truly belongs"

USA vs SG who will make a better owner to our beloved LFC:(

Why is Peter Lim and the Mill hedge fund launching bids now when a deal has been concluded and is being considered in court!

This only gives credence to H&G's claim that the board had not properly done its due process in assessing all bids.

It just smacks of opportunism. Bugger off culture vultures!
