This Cat 400 or 500 story is interesting in BJ's ktv scene. Many ktvs including Baocheng, Baoli, Diamond and the latest Tango (唐会) that we went few nights ago, claimed to be Cat 400. The mami and GM will tell you it's Cat 400. But, they have 2 types of girls, one with batch (500) and one without batch (400). If you get a girl with a batch, then it's 500, else it should be 400. However, some girls wear their batch after they sit down with you. You can of course complain and change a girl or tell the mami you only want 400 girls. If you are a regular, the mami know you only want 400 girl, then she will only bring in the 400 girls. Some time the 100rmb could spoil the fun for the night. So I normally classified them as Cat 500. If you get a 400 girl, then it's a bonus.

Positive way of thinking Bro Mark... my preference is still cheong those Cat 200 between 4th and 5th ring road.. I find them to be more adventurous, full of surprises and fun. The last time I went to 中服大厦 basement (invited by my local friend and paid by them..), I was cursing them(ktv gals) inside me as the services is close to nil... sometimes, I wonder why these local are paying so much for nothing and just keep on going back there... 中服大厦 is on my negative list.. I actually went there on weekly basis a few years ago when they just open.. now the gal looks above average but they don't entertaine you... they either play with their vertu phone or just making lame excuses not to drink or sing... KNN :mad::mad:

When you have time Bro Mark, go to 金沙at轮胎路 between 3rd ring and 4th ring road at hadian district... it's Cat 200 but many SYT there... mostly fresh to Beijing...

bros, pls dun ask generic questions like explain the bj ktv scene to you. i will need to write an essay to explain this. be specific in what you want to know. i can help but can't spend too much explaining to so many of you. the best thing is for you to join our party, then we can drink, talk and chat the whole night. not just me, you can also talk to many other lao jiao bros here. we have more than 50 bros in the socc group.

Will be in Beijing End of October on 24th weekend. Staying in Dongzhimen area near Sanlitun. I'm a american born asian who can't speak or read chinese, got any recommendations for English speaking ktv places? Cat 300 and above. RMB no prob.

Hi Bro,

There is no English speaking ktv here, but most ktvs have some girls that can speak English. The only set back is your choice is limited. We have an Indian bro who uses a Dopod phone translator to communicate with ktv girls. By the way, I am staying at Dongzhimen. There are several ktvs and many pubs around here.

Spend the past 2-3 days reading all the thread that Mark started.

Was in Beijing this year before I saw all these threads, but no go KTV.
More like a tourist, went to historical sites and to 'my old house' in Forbidden City.

Was staying in the hotel behind Tian An Men back door, near the Jin Shan Gong yuan.

I like Beijing because of its wide streets and pedestrian walkways are very spacious ...freedom. The air feels better as compared to ShenZhen and HK .
But the summer heat in the day can be quite terrible, though it is cold at night .

Anyway, bro Mark and all bros; how do u rate the " K Ge Wang "
at Luohu, Shenzhen as compared to those in Beijing if u have been to
K Ge Wang ? Thanks. :)

Beijing has Cat 100 to 700 ktvs. Different in pricing, set up, quality of girls, fun level, strip, no strip, many many types. Need to compare apple to apple :confused:

I have spent 2 days reading this thread and from what I have read I think that the KTV in Confort Inn Hotel is your favourite. Next week I will be coming to Beijing with my clients and they intend to "take home" and I would appreciate it if you can PM me the contact number of the Mummy and also advise mw on the take home rates.

Apart from the above KTV, is there any more KTV that you can recommend in the CAT400-500 category and also the contact number of the Mummy.
