Try A-25 hotel 3 star on De Tham at corner of Pham Ngu Lao in the back packers district. It's nice. clean. quiet, professionally managed, about $50 a day.

It's a chain of small hotels in dis 1 that rent out ST rooms for 150K day and 220K night time. Of course they let you bring the girls in.

I was visiting a web girl at the Phan Cu Trinh branch. There were 4 young girls sitting in the lobby, waiting for someone, asking me what I wanted.

Stealth mission - he's in Vietnam, probably with his girlfriend / wife / colleagues and cannot be seen as frequenting such places. Hence, he needs to go there secretly.

I was in HCMC in Jan. It was supposed to be the coolest and most pleasant time of the year. NEEEHHHH...

It was so hot and humid ,like a torture to go out on the streets in day time. I would sneak out for food then go back into the cool A/C room, stripped down to my underwear to cool off.

The loose tank top stuck to the skin, could not peel it off... Pure misery... It would be even much hotter and humid in Arpil, May and June, the rainy season.

It's about half a block South West of the back packers' district.

There's only 1 A25 hotel in that area.

The A25 on De Tham is at the middle of the B P district

Just came back from HCMC last Friday. Weather is bad. Very hot. Changed as much as 3 underwear everyday. If you stay in D1, even the stall owners know some simple English. Other districts, I don't know.

And, to make matter worse, although there are dozens of coffeehouse in HCMC, chances are, out of 10 coffeehouse, 9.5 don't have air con. I asked my female companion why, she say electricity expensive. And the cutest part is... Despite the hot weather, my female insist on wearing her cotton sweater when we go out, cos she don't want to have dark skin!!!
