Pattaya is only good as a FL punting ground.

If you're young and handsome it's possible to score LT for THB3000! :eek:

But for unattractive uncles but puchai jing jai like me most likely will get quoted THB4000 and above for LT. :o

I wish I've a time machine and travel back 20 years!
Back in those days being a puchai jing jai goes a long way. :D

The demographic charts on the types of visitors to Patts has changed...... now more visitors go there for drug parties rather than cheap sex.
These parties used to be organised quietly by word of mouth but lately they have popped up all over on the www.
The authorities have stepped up enforcement recently but there is too many of these parties organised that the raids are not curbing the problem.
Expect a major operation soon with BKK Agencies involved when the problem gets too big for the Patts police to handle.

Many years ago these drug parties used to be held in the nearby islands like Koh Chang, Ko Lan or Ko Sak.

But since last couple of years they have moved into mainland Pattaya..... and recently competition between the drug suppliers has led to open advertising of these parties.
They even have young teenage runners handing out pamphlets to potential party types..... lol

I always thought Pattaya is a place for fat angmohs to retire and look for a Thai lady too

Best to steer clear of such related activities unless you're feng tau crew. :D

Basically Thailand is broke due to the pandemic.
Don't think Thailand will reverse the policy on weed.
If you've been to Thailand long enough you'll know it's more NATO than the real NATO! :p

At most increase more taxation in the name of health.

555 now Pattaya has attracted many long stay Tiongs but willing to spend.
The recent addition are the uncouth tourists from India.
Some how they have more spending power now.

The old kii neow ang moh is at the bottom of the food chain.
They have to budget wisely as their pensions are only a modest sum. :cool:

Weed is not the main problem in LOS.
In 2024 drug abusers arrested by Thai authorities in raids used the following drugs :-
Metamphetamine - 62%
Ice (crystal metamphetamine) - 21%
Kratom plant - 7%
Marijuana - 6%
Others (cocaine, heroin etc) - 4%

And this trend looks set to be repeated in 2025..... in Jan 2025 alone the Office of Narcotics Control Board (Thai version of CNB) oredi seized 99 tonnes of metamphetamines + 2.4 tonnes of Ice from traffickers along the Cambodia - Pattaya crossing.

What is more scary is that school children are introduced to drugs at early age...... usually in the form of "lollipop" or "candies" which are mixed with ketamine and getting them addicted.

Here in Malaysia this trend has been around for several years oredi. When you go to KTVs or Spas..... complimentary fruits & coloured candies are placed on your table. These coloured candies are laced with ketamine and popular with the customers.... until KTVs became known as Feng Tau joints.

Even now, these candies are often offered free in JB clubs & spas..... so be careful if the lady offer you a candy if you do not intend to become an addict.

I wonder how likely it is to end up in a drug party if you don't go looking for it. Even if the lady offer you sweets laced with drugs, seems pretty ineffective for getting (new) foreign customers. Like you want more supply need to fly back and somehow find them? Seems like the target would be other locals instead.

But if want to be safe, then as well stick to the red light areas like soi6, WS, LK metro and hollywood. And don't go to random parties lol

Anyway booked a trip durig end april, before labour day. Time to explore hollywood after exploring soi6, LK metro and WS last year

You may not go Patts for drug parties but that does not mean others will not. Nowadays there are more punters going to Patts looking for such drug parties than those looking for sex. Although the majority of tgem are Ah Tiongs..... the number of guys from Malaysia is quite sizeable too..... and Singkies are fast catching up. Maybe because they like to hunt for kangtao via social media sites and see these drug parties heavily promoted and curiosity got the better of them. Easy to get hooked..... pay entry fee and you get generous supply of drugs.... free alcohol... free sex.... how not to get hooked?

drugs super cheap now, cheaper than food
thats why many are getting hooked in recent years
Not promoting, in fact my advice is to stay away from it
overdose can easily be accidental
