Arsenal's main target is to surpass Tottenham:

Boy... Boy... Since when did the mighty gonners become goners or even bonkers? Why is surpassing Tottenham the main target now? Look what this small little rich boy is talking about. Hahaha...

I hope Spurs players can be more mature by getting themselves ready to surpass themselves instead of surpassing any teams in EPL. It is only surpassing yourselves that you carry on to improve...

I think Sandro is right. We need to put our talking where the result is. We need to start winning against Man City, Man Utd, Chelski... especially our big london rivals...

Bale played, but there is no right wing. I think we need to seriously look at Danny Rose as Lennon's replacement. Train him up and he could be one of the stars.

Draw is a fair result given the evenness of the 2 teams. We lost VDV at half time due to hamstring problem. There seems to be a growing injury problem at Spurs. Hopefully, we can get over it during Christmas as we have a schedule of tough fixtures coming up from Jan to Mar.

it was a brilliant bale charge on the wing that led to ade's goal.
but spurs should get the 3 pts in whl, giving chelski 1 pt is no good.

For Man Utd, they don't have to worry too much about losing 1-6 to Man City because Man City will lose points if they are not careful and Man Utd can catch up anytime.

As for Spurs, I think we only have ourselves to blame if we cannot make use of this period with convincing performance, which is usually the case for Spurs to fall flat on their face, until 20 Dec Chelski match.

Hopefully, everything will work out fine for us to take advantage of the present fixture arrangement before we hit another rough patch of fixture after the new year, namely 21 Jan 12 to 24 Mar 12. After that, we will have 8 more matches before the season end.

I guess enough have been said above. Man City did start to lose points and Man Utd has already caught up.

As for Spurs, we didn't fall flat on our face until Xmas. Hopefully, more results come Spurs way.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London

Below are the summary of the current top 7 fixtures against one another till the end of the season:
1) Man City, played 18 games, 45 points, goal difference 38
Jan 3 vs Liverpool (Home)
Jan 22 vs Tottenham (H)
Mar 17 vs Chelski (H)
Apr 7 vs Arsenal (A)
Apr 28 vs Man Utd (H)
May 5 vs Newcaslte (A)

2) Man Utd, played 18 games, 45 points, GD = 33
Jan 4 vs Newcaslte (A)
Jan 22 vs Arsenal (A)
Feb 5 vs Chelski (A)
Feb 11 vs Liverpool (H)
Mar 3 vs Tottenham (A)
Apr 28 vs Man City (A)

3) Tottenham, played 16 games, 35 pts, GD = 13
Jan 22 vs Man City (A)
Feb 6 vs Liverpool (A)
Feb 11 vs Newcastle (H)
Feb 26 vs Arsenal (A)
Mar 3 vs Man Utd (H)
Mar 24 vs Chelski (A)

4) Chelski, played 18 games, 34 pts, GD = 15
Feb 5 vs Man Utd (H)
Mar 17 vs Man City (A)
Mar 24 vs Tottenham (H)
Apr 14 vs Newcastle (H)
Apr 21 vs Arsenal (A)
May 5 vs Liverpool (A)

5) Arsenal, played 17 games, 32 pts, GD = 8
Jan 22 vs Man Utd (H)
Feb 26 vs Tottenham (H)
Mar 3 vs Liverpool (A)
Mar 10 vs Newcastle (H)
Apr 7 vs Man City (H)

May 5 vs Chelski (H)

7) Newcastle, played 18 games, 30 pts, GD = 3
Dec 30 vs Liverpool (A)
Jan 4 vs Man Utd (H)
Feb 11 vs Tottenham (A)
Mar 10 vs Arsenal (A)
Mar 31 vs Liverpool (H)
Apr 14 vs Chelski (A)
May 5 vs Man City (H)

Basing on the above fixture of the current top 7 playing against each other, Spurs has the most hectic of them, having to play these 6 teams within Jan 22 to Mar 24 (2 months). With injury mounting, I guess Harry has to work hard to get a defender as well as a right winger to secure our position and endure this crazy schedule, but all may not be lost as Spurs have 8 more matches to recover before the season ends.

Arsenal is the 2nd earliest team to clear all 6 teams by Apr 21. While Man U and Man City still has to face each other on Jan 8 FA Cup fixture, for now... and maybe more Europa fixtures. With Arsenal improving, I can see Arsenal squeezing back into top 4 contention.

IMHO, Man City, Chelski, Liverpool and Newcastle need to play the season out in order to secure their final standings.

Hopefully, everything turns out well for Spurs.

A good win at Carrow Road:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id=318133&cc=4716

2 goals from Bale seals it for Spurs, although there were plentiful of chances to win by a bigger margin. The boys seems able to up-a-gear as and when they like in this match. I think this is a good sign for the team.

Well Done Lads!!!
Well Done Harry!!!

This has given us some breathing room ahead of a tough beginning next year, however, we still need to secure an away result at Liberty Stadium, Swansea, on New Year's eve.

All-in-all 4 more matches before we visit Etihad Stadium, which will see us on level in terms of matches played. It is very critical that the players stay fit and focus on each individual game. We just need to concentrate on securing our result as we cannot have any say in other results as well as we must not let ourselves into a position where we need other results to help us.

Hopefully, the run can go on (to-date 12 wins, 2 draws & 1 lost since the starting 2 games is a great result).

Wolves deserve the point, if not 3 points. They scored on almost their 1st real chance.

We didn't have our shooting boots on, chances wasted by wrong decisions. We didn't defend well enough too, we are seeing signs of the old Spurs - shaking defending.

Hopefully, the lads don't have too much of the title in their mind, play game by game and target game by game. All the talk about title challenging might warn lower teams to park a bus in defence and wait for counter-attack. Plant the foot on the ground would help the lads better as we seen Newcastle lost their 12 points lead before.

Bro,

It is not just Harry, the players got carried away trying to play pressure for City. I just hope they do the talking on the field rather than with their mouth.

Having said that, it is only understood that Spurs has waited too long to make any noise about title challenging. It is so for us fans too, 50 long years ago we won the league, we also hope that we do not need to wait another 50 years.

However, I think we should not talk too big as it is only the beginning of the 2nd half of the season, we should let the end of the season result do the talking.

Hopefully, Spurs has learnt their lesson.

We may have suffered many years, I still think we should silence those idiots with our end of season result and with out performance on the pitch.

As a Spurs fan, I really hope that Spurs can avenge the 5-1 humuliation we suffer at WHL. Hopefully, the players remembered the pain and turn that into motivation.

Spurs will hang on to their 3rd spot at the very least for this season and seriously got to give them the credit and I see that as an improvement though I felt that they are still lacking in depth and experience to win the league championship. Well, we are still games away till end of the season, who knows what will happen. :)

the most heart breaking match this season so far. but we have to be reminded it is just 22 games now, long way to go.

it may have been a 3-2 win for spurs instead if defoe was just a split second earlier racing to bale's brilliant low cross for a tap in. really on the edge stuff.

the bale shot for spurs' 2nd goal had it coming alright. his attempts of a couple of similar volley shots really show why he prefered the middle role, he likes shooting no doubt. but then lennon on the left flank is shy of crosses due to a left foot he will never want to use. this is always a problem with wingers, they only can use the leg they are born for.

i was worried when balotelli was introduced, somehow this guy has been a match winner more often than not.
i would spit on him for that stamp on parker, it would have been serious injury if it was to the head, not that balotelli was looking. he just wanted to get one back.

Bro,

No point getting a red card for such a player becoz it is so clear that the referee didn't help Spurs with the right decision, so if u spit at him u get the red card. I don't understand referees in EPL, they always help the big teams and didn't look at fouls objectively.

Hopefully, the referees will understand that Spurs have suffered long enough under their poor decisions and revert to giving Spurs the benefit of doubt. Hopefully, the media can do Spurs some justice too with some of the more nutural report instead of writing Spurs off. Although the current team is still not championship material, but we are trying to get there without the type of $$$ that some of the other clubs have.

spurs is a rich club with huge profits every year, i dont think i will see the day spurs sell out to any rich tycoon who happens to love football etc..
the problem with such owners is that their own business or money is sustaining the club finances, so the club's annual losses mainly due to galactical signings and wages is not something to be corrected urgently.

but when something is wrong with the personal fortunes, immediate takeover from another owner needs to happen becos the banks dont have all day. every football club should be managed as sustainable or profitable by itself and i am glad regulations and cap rulings are in the pipeline.

i have a ptui weighing at least 500ml waiting for balo. if the ref saw it and issue the red, i reckon spurs will get some spoils.
so the big kid got a 4 match ban.

Referee Howard Webb did not see the incident but after reviewing the footage the decision was made to retrospectively charge Balotelli with violent conduct.

The Italy international will now serve a four-match ban, having already been sent off this season, which will start with Wednesday night's Carling Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool.

Bro,

I am actually proud of the way we got there without having the $$$. That's why I think Spurs need a year or two more if the current squad carry on and with the experience of challenging for the title, we should be there to fight for it. As for now, I am very happy with 3rd.
