Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Ryan Babel is keen on a loan move back to Ajax - and believes the deal could form part of Luis Suarez's potential transfer to Liverpool.

"The transfer of Suarez to Liverpool opens the door for me to go to Ajax," Babel was quoted as saying by De Telegraaf newspaper.
"If Liverpool and Ajax - whether in combination with Luis - can reach an agreement over me I will surely come to the club. For the chance to play I am willing to settle for far less pay."

it may be a win-win deal for all parties...
we'll get suarez, a young exciting forward n off load babel who seems to be heading nowhere after 3-4 yrs with us. many ppl may write off the dutch lge, but it's oso the lge where romario, van nisteroy, the fat ronaldo came from.. and he's a proven scorer on international scene too.
whereas babel will get more playing time with ajax, may able to develope his game.
and lastly ajax will sell off a player whose heart is no longer with them and get a attacker who is familiar with them in return.

hope the deal goes thru~ :D:D:D

Looks like Babel is the 1st one out....

Liverpool FC this afternoon announced they had accepted a bid from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for the transfer of Dutch international Ryan Babel.

The Bundesliga Club have now been given permission to discuss personal terms with the player, who has travelled to Germany.

A big loss on Babel but we really need to ship the dead wood out and bring some quality strikers and forwards in. Hope this will be the start of the clearance.

Really? Who's he? Good? I just google his name and realised he's 18 this year. So much for an unproven 18 yr old?

he's only 17+.. but already a belgium full international with 2 goals..

will be very very surprised if we can get him, cos he's 1 of the hottest young players currently...

professional club career stats: played 76 goals 33 assists 10.. not bad for a 17 yrs old kid...

Its always different when you come to play in the BPL.

Alot of youngsters or proven scorers always find themselves scoring freely in their countries, but when they come here - its usually not the case - England club plays too physically.

Anyway my point is, 20 odd millions for a 17 yr old kid ...how many Owens or Rooneys out there can be developed like them..要三思啊..:D

it's definitely a gamble...
we'd missed out the young ronaldo few yrs ago cos our owner unwilling to fork out another few mil more on a youngster...
anyway, i dun think we'll sign 2 15-20 mil forwards at 1 go...
after a forward, next priority is to get a quality LB...

i bet many of u guys muz have forgotten this guy Acquilani which we signed for a high price. i had problems tryin to recall his name initially. haha. not heard much of him lately tho.

wonder if Dalglish have any intentions to keep him once he return fr his loan fr Juve. will he return a better player? italians seldom excel in EPL. thought he would prove us wrong but it was not to be. for his price, we can get a good midfielder or striker in the mid range qty.

He's doing pretty well for Juve now, score a goal during the weekend..

He's too "soft" for the BPL tough i must say his passing & crossing are quite good actually but he falls down too often :D

Well..abide so much speculation, we can only see what's on the trf market for Kenny..

Not sure he is the right manager to lead us for long term tough, but its back to basic for the lazy players under him..

U mean this guy?

Not really doing well base on stats. But started regularly for Juve.

He scored the winner in Juve 2-1 win over Bari in Serie A recently.

I commented here because he make me lose $ when he scored that goal.

i always feel 'toughmasters' will do well as coaches eg J.Mourinho, SAF, MON, Redknapp .... coaches who do not hesitate to bench players if they underperform, n giving 'hairdryer treatment' when necessary. Pool's coaches over the years seemed to be 'Mr Nice Guys' and deemed too soft.

How we wished we missed out on the young Babel right? He's the twit on twitter. :p

I think we need a defensive midfielder badly! We need to replace Mascherano. It's not that our defenders suddenly all become lousy. It's just that no one is protecting our back 4 as well.

I think the owners want to ensure their first signing is a big name and a success. That's why we are slow in annoucing targets yet. Imagine our first player under this new management is Van Bommel. Wah lau... what kind of a signal is that?

for every ronaldo, there will be tens or hundreds of sinama pongelle, le tallec or babel...
but why did we always ended up with the "le tellac"s and not "ronaldo"s..??!!
:confused::confused::confused:

important to get the 1st signing right, sending a right message to the fans and also to the rival clubs...

think it's getting a bit more interesting towards the end of the transfer window...
