all amulets wear off no matter how powerful it is. if u follow instructions from the master to chant the katas regularly for some period of time, the blessing protection & so called ''good luck'' stay with u for life. if u naturally have good meditative quality, the powers of emulets will also stay with u for life. but nothing beats the chants of 5 buddhas mantra & keeping the 5precepts well. even so all emulets will act as dharma protectors for u. its to remind u of the teachings of buddha not to gain greed or power. even if one not sincere no matter how many emulets one has also no use.
