i rather not qualify for Europa. It's not that exciting. Concentrate on the league next season. With 38 league matches and about 10 cup competition matches, that's a lot of matches to be played.

I agreed with you BRO.
For the season 11-12, it will be rebuilding phase for us.
With less competition matches, it will be better for us.
Not to mentioned we already got FA, and mickey mouse cup to play already.

Exciting? CL matches are usually horrible to watch (unless we are playing).

It's not a realistic option. Money side, playing in Europe requires experience and expertise - Kenny's team did horribly in Europe while producing some excellent league performances. Our recent success in Europe was built by Rafa but also owed to Houllier's accomplishments in the then UEFA Cup.

Also, aren't we going to try for the CL the season after? There's always going to be the problem of 2-3 games in a week, and this so called luxury of focussing on English games only is very short term.

Don't forget, players want to play in Europe, and so do managers and the owners.

i would want my team to qualify all competition and win all title, let it be mickey mouse or donald duck cups...

as bro rahl said, we've to get used to play 3 games a week and play against european teams, to prepare for the targetted CL following seasoin... cos playing in europe is very different from playing in epl...

remember how english teams suffered when they were banned for europe competition, they simply forgot how to play agst european teams...

we slowly become a force in europe only after continental coches houllier n rafa came, but sadly on the side they din know how to play the englidh games and win the epl...

he played most of his best games against the big teams keeping big names midfielder quiet..:D

i think he has been successfully converted into a midfield destroyer from his originally box-to-box type of attacking midfielder.. ;)

Arsenal blew it again, after leading 1-2, 1-3 ... only for Spurs to come back n equalise.

A crucial pt for Spurs. They now stand at 54 pts, 5 ahead of Pool and a game in hand.

Well, there is always the hope that tottenham can catch up with Man City and finish fourth, then we will get the Europa spot if we finish sixth and Man City win the FA cup. Of course this is moot if Man City lose the FA cup...:D

Seems like we still have faint hopes of finishing 5th.

Spurs are 4 pts clear of us with 2 games in hand. Will need a spectacular crash to overhaul them!

Above is my slightly biased prediction of final outcome ... which Pool finishes level on pts with Spurs but end higher on virture of goal diff!!!

hmmm...
a bit off prediction liao...
means tat we've to do better than bro owen10's prediction.

Milan jovanovic more or less sealed his exit from Liverpool in the summer. That would lessen the wage bill and gives KD room for improving the overall quality of the squad.

Another significant reduction would be the departure of Joe Cole as well.

i felt at the moment whether we qualify for the europa league is out of our hands and what is important now is to keep our unbeaten momentum till the end of the season and bring that momentum over to the new season where we must have a good start and be competitive (depends on the new players that we bring in) throughout the entire BPL season.

for these last 5 games, we should continue on the form that we have displayed in the last 2 games and let the partnership of suarez and carroll gel even further so that next season we can start on fire with these two upfront............:D

also, i felt that KD should be appointed the perm manager now and plan 4 next season.........dont know what the new owners are thinking..........

hahaha ... remember that was my BIASED prediction. or should i rephrase it as 'best case scenario' for Pool? the game at White Hart could have easily ended up in a draw or win for spurs. agt WBA this weekend im keeping my fingers crossed old boss RH do us a favour with an upset. :D

Dalglish open to Aquilani return

"When people talk about next season, I'm surprised they don't give Alberto a mention," Dalglish said on the club's official website. "Everyone seems to have forgotten about him.

"I know he has done really well at Juventus this season. When the loan finishes at the end of the season, he reverts back to being a Liverpool player.

Dalglish undecided over duo

'Defensive stalwart Carragher has made good progress but it is not clear whether he will be allowed to feature against Blues, while striker Carroll has not been pushed in training.'

Meireles named Fans' Player of the Year

'Meireles, who won the February ESPN PFA Fans' Player of the Month award, beat off stiff competition from fellow monthly winners Samir Nasri (October, December, January), Dimitar Berbatov (September), Fernando Torres (November) and David Luiz (March).'
