still long way to go for KD...

Of cos la, but scum would have gotten their 19th a long time ago if not for the russian millions, with arsenal so inconsistent.

Really hope Kenny can get us into a title challenge next season ;)

I have always maintained that the LFC planners dun want the distraction of Europe while they rebuild next season to mount a serious challenge for title no. 19...... that's the unspoken sublime message that I often get from the LFC representatives when attending their various coaching clinics. :)

So I wasn't surprised that they lost to Spurs...... and I dun expect them to get a result against AV either.

yeah agree he's good. got him in my fantasy league. lol. but not sure if he'll want to come to anfield n end up on the subs' bench. i guess given his form this season he may cost anythg fr 12-15 mil???

if we challenge on all fronts next year there'll be plenty of chances to prove himself and AC seems kinda injury prone....we need competitioin to keep AC & LS motivated....

i m just being objective, put emotions aside. if we want the best for our club, we must think objectively and not let emotions get in the way of our judgement.

FT was with us during a very bad era. hell, i hated being a pool fan at dat time with those 2 asshole owners dat basically killed us. but despite all dat, he scored many goals for us and up to before the current season his goal scoring record speaks for itself.

wad players say when they come or after they leave, sometimes its either taken out of context, twisted by the media or (when it comes to foreign players) their english not so good. Remember roy keane? when he came in he said he was joining his boyhood club then when he went to the other team (can't remember which, dun know, dun care) he said that was his boyhood club. it's all politics. i rather focus on the player's contribution.

Though i am sadden by the way he left and de things said, nothing changes wad he did for us and if not for GG and TH and if KD was appt immediately after RB instead of RH, he would prob still be with us.

Bro, putting aside emotions in football? what are you, Rafa Benitez?? ;)

OK ok, let's try to do that. You want a player who sulks and looks down on his team-mates? Breeds disharmony? Disrupt team spirit? Bail on the team when the going gets tough?

I recognise Torres' talent and goal scoring exploits. But he is both a hypocrite and bad influence. More than that, he is history, and no manager, less to say Kenny, will want him back.

Well for me, I'm no rep of the club, but at least next season I won't have to wait till Sunday to watch our matches. And our season could start a bit later and allow us to prepare for the league better. ;)

Honestly, the team is still too thin to be competing on all fronts. I rather they take things one step at a time and return the club to glory days by first winning the BPL. One got to admit the depth of choices available in those teams above us especially if their first choice is out be it a striker, midfielder or defender.

That why the summer signings will be important...

i agree with u. lookin at our bench, players like greek guy, cole, aurelio, ngog, etc hardly make the grade. look at how awesome the ManC bench is ... which players like Barry, Johnson, Ballotelli, Djeko, Milner can be subs. or our hated rivals which even their old men Schole & Giggs could still perform at the highest level, n even their cheap buys like Park n Hernandez often turned out to be match-winners.

but 08/09 2nd plc finish had given us much hopes that our future is still bright. then, torres n gerrard was d main driving force. if u look at the rest of the squad, most of the players are still here. i think if we continue playing with the same kind of spirits n zest after KD arrive, we will be a leaner n meaner force to reckon with. hopefully players like Lucas, Mireles, Maxi, Kuyt will mature n continue their good form whr they left off late season. n of cos we need captain marvel to reproduce his sparkling form. this season is a truly forgettable one for him.

Premier League gets extra Euro spot

'As it stands, Fulham and Tottenham are level in second place behind Chelsea, but if Spurs hold on to fifth place in the Premier League and join Chelsea in qualifying for Europe via the league then the Cottagers could be set to return to the competition they reached the final of in 2010.

If Fulham finish second behind Chelsea in the Fair Play league then the place in the Europa League is guaranteed to be theirs.

England, Norway and Sweden have all been awarded an extra place due to their sides' conduct in UEFA games and one side will join the competition's first qualifying round next season'

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...e-spot?cc=4716

Nothing to do with Liverpool .. sigh.

No offence to Fulham n Birmingham fans, but i think the spots were be wasted as both teams will be there only to make up the numbers, to fill up the greedy UEFA warchest. will give them onli Q-finalists at best.

i agreed wif bro rahl that torres is history and should not be allowed 2 come back, furthermore looking at the way he is playing at chelsea at the moment, you sure u want him back????????????

i am hoping carroll will step up next season as he has been quite disappointed so far..............:(

while the loss 2 spurs is disappointing, no europa football next season might be a blessing 4 us...........we can focus on rebuilding the team & get back into the champions league next season...................YNWA

Dun forget he had an injury...... can be considered as serious as he was out more than 4 months...... usually this type of injury needs about 5-6 months just to recover.... and another 2-3 months for the player to return to his pre-injury playing level..... so please be patient with AC. :)

If the injury does not recur and he is able to participate in the pre-season training.... then we should see AC back to his best.

But if he misses pre-season training..... or worst still if he takes part in the coming U-21s competition...... he will not be in optimum form during the competition and run the risk of his injury recurring.... and LFC will have a lame duck on its team next season...... KD better have a 3rd striker on standby. :p

concur that he had an injury, but for 35 million pounds, he had better work harder to find his form back quickly which is why i had mentioned in my earlier post that we would require another striker to complement our existing strikeforce of suarez, kuyt & carroll..............:)

No la, Carroll needs service. Remember that great header he struck against City?

I agree Kuyt, Maxi and Raul have been magnificent since Kenny took over but we don't want to be one-dimensional. Carroll gives us another weapon but we must have the ammo for it to work.

Plus summer for a solid pre-season. ;)
