Henderson was meant for the future as a replacement for SG. He has all the right attributes to be groomed as SG's successor. Dun look at him now, he is still raw, look at him in a couple of years time then pass comment.

Meireles was injured during pre-season and is slowly building up his match fitness. His fitness is not there yet and that was why he was on the bench.

Aquaman is ...... too much of an Aqua. He may be talented and technically gifted but he is too fragile for the physically challenging requirements of the english game.

SG's successor ???? henderson i don t think he will last that long with us,u mean to say that italian football is not physical.

AA wants to leave la bro - he is talking about Milan now.

I'm not writing off Henderson, but Raul and Kuyt should be ahead of him on merit.

Agree with you on most points except this. AA has never been too frail and there has been a tradition of small, light midfielders who have flourished in the English game. I think his mind simply is set on leaving and in a sense I can't blame him. I do think he is quality and see it as a missed opportunity for us.

Henderson is for future as he still have long way to go
As fir the italian mainly I think they going to offload him so not going to feature him worried he might get injured n the value will drop

Aquilani played 33 games for Juve while on loan last season. He had also regained his place in his national team. How many games can he play for us in central midfield this season? We have Gerrard, Lucas, Spearing, Adam, Henderson, Meireles, Poulsen (sigh)... A lot of people competing for 2 slots. Besides asking if he's good enough (i think he is, the italian team isn't that lousy right?), we need to consider if he wants to stay and fight for his place.

I think we need another striker more than another central midfielder. Carrol needs to bully people more with his bulk. Strikers who foul defenders while fighting for high balls tend to only give away free kicks and seldom gets yellow cards. I think he needs to be more of a Drogba (not the moaner and diver part of course).

We are playing Bolton next. Not gonna be easy at all. They thrashed QPR last week and push Manc quite hard yesterday. If we don't start playing better might just draw or even lose....

hopefully wat u said is correct about KD slowly bedding raul back into the team as i would scream if i c henderson in the starting eleven again, he was brought in together wif downing to be wide players to supply quality crosses for caroll but sadly over 2 games, didnt even see one decent cross fr him at all. even spearing should be ahead of henderson based on merits & recent performances.

agreed tat we shd write off AA from the team as he was never in KD plans imho and its logical tat he wants 2 leave.

hopefully our performance will get better as the season progresses & we can get a centre back in (preferably cahill fr bolton) before the trf window close & the team shd be complete..........:p

come on u reds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw good crosses from both liv flanks...but the ars defence did their job to clear...think against lesser know team...teh goals will come...:p

just 2 games into the new season...think too early to comment...lotts of room to improve...by Xmas then we can tell what will happen...:p

While I agree that it's still early to comment but if we look at the past few season the team can match or beat the top team but when comes to the weaker or average we always drop points

Dun know why but we have the tendency of losing concentration against them
KD must really give them a piece of mind if they want to be a force to be reckon with

Henderson is not a winger....... he is a utility player and like SG he can play several positions except goalie :) ........ give him some time I personally believe he will be as good as SG one day in the future. :p

KD seems to think so too as in his latest interview this afternoon he voted Henderson as HIS Man of the Match for the Arsenal game

Liverpool FC this afternoon confirmed that Sotirios Kyrgiakos had left the club and joined Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg.

The Greek defender made 49 appearances for the Reds, scoring three goals, after signing from AEK Athens in August 2009

Well bro, Kyrgiakos is leaving for Wolfsburg, so it seems another defender will be signed!

It's partly tactical set up (having more attackers against weaker sides) and partly team quality - having multiple threats and game winners. Weaker teams would try to pack the midfield and press us, so it depends on our attacking quality. Same as with the other top teams, but Scum have done it for years as they attack without stopping and tire the other side.

Btw lots of news:

Kuyt given offer to move to Inter.

Raul gives 'finger' to Lucas mocking the finger Frimpong gave to Lucas when he got red (I missed this one).

Haha I saw this part too but was puzzled why he do that n now I know why :D

Btw we had more average team then to the stronger team
We need to be more consistence n not drop too many pts if not while we might beat all the top team but end up not winning the title

I hope Kuyt stays for at least 1 more season. He does chip in with his goals and he helps out in defence. Always running. Plus we are short on strikers now, a position that he can double up in.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

I'm quite sure Kuyt will stay and accept a fight for a place in the team.
