too bad no car, cannot afford. what to do... any bros here lost bonking opportunities just because u got no car or bonked someone precisely coz u got a car? do share, thanks

Not a problem bro, Just invite her to party with loads of alcohol. The car will be out of the equation immediately. What's more, higher chances of bonking too!!

Rent a car, problem solved ;)

Many moons ago, I dated gals with my bike even though car was available & parked next to it. The look on their eyes was priceless when I pass them the helmet, especially when she wears a skirt :D

I am a woman n i drive.

I would say if you are looking for love, go with the flow no need to be so troubled about car or no car. If u are showing her around for a few days can rent a car n no need to lie about it. Have fun n see if you both are attracted to each other. But to move on to next phase, as a woman i want to feel protected so would love my man to drive me around instead of the other way round. Somehow guys (whether younger or older than me) that sat in my car too many times feel like a younger brother to me than anything romantic. Its just me not to say it represents all female.

Be it local or overseas woman. No car, they don't open their 'Kar'. You can have no or less hair but no car to date them, a no no. Cause with a other half with car, they feels they are more high classed. Even a neighboring country girl down here also can looks down on local if she manage to hook a guy with car. That's what I been witnessing.

I am old.. balding and a "fatty" like you would call......

I drive an unpretentious car (perhaps better than the two car types you have named) and though I do not bed all the time, but the key thing is given the same "opposition" for the same target - i.e. me and another bloke going/eyeing the same chick.,.....its conversation skills first and then what kind of wheels that is being pulled up my the valet.........

For biker bros.. fret not... I got some hot looking chicks on days when I do not feel like driving but show the wilder side of myself in a trusty Daytona.

Don't tell me those bald fatty driving a damn posche or ferrari will sure bed one. They mostly end up being rename as Robert.

I think it matter on how you carry and present yourself and how you make the gal feel comfortable about the whole dating. Rather than behaving like a hungry wolf that start groping on them.

Just my unworthy thought

When it's the woman who drives and the man doesn't, a lot of times the woman would feel that she's the one protecting the man. Just like what Edyta said the guy sitting on the left is like the younger brother being protected by her. In the past when I drive my guy friends never like to be fetched by me, as they felt inferior about being drove around by a woman.

Not just neighboring country girl, when my other half wasn't driving, family members (extended families like cousins and uncles aunties) all look down on me and my other half. The moment we got a car and he drives, everyone started treating him nicely during family gatherings.

Sometimes I wonder what's the big deal of having a car. Convenience at the expense of high COE and ERP? Unless it's really worth the convenience otherwise the money can be used for other more beneficial stuffs.

You see, a lot of people depend on transport and so, having a car is an advantage for a guy. Some people even took bus for a stop or two when carries things. Wouldn't it be better if you are stop at your block?

When a couple, be it lover or hubby/wife, they wants a private moment some time n having a car will be great. All pay by instalment and so, own first and then worry later. But for me, I still prefer public as can enjoy the ride n not stress myself on parking, petrol n all other craps. :D

this is true.

i feel that most people are just victims of societal beliefs.

it makes no sense to own a car in singapore unless you have a sales or similar job that requires a lot of traveling, run a business or have too much money. a large portion of car owners in singapore don't fall into either category. these car owners pay an arm and a leg just to have their car because it gives them a certain 'face value'.

going back onto topic, i've had girls who suddenly started treating me very differently when i drove a moderately high end sports car during a certain period of time.

even after i first started driving a very modest hatchback, i noticed that the way people treated me was different. which is rather sad, as it shows how materialistic our society is nowadays. driving a car in singapore has become a status symbol rather than a convenience.

the most extreme case i personally faced was this rather hot girl who suddenly started taking an interest in me during the period i drove a nice car. one day she casually commented that this was a very nice upgrade from my previous car. i told her that i was still driving my previous car and this car wasnt mine. guess what? her 'interest' suddenly waned.

of course owning a car isn't really important, but in this age and society, let's face it - for superficial relationships and hookups it sure as hell does help a lot.
