Songkran!
Hello all bosses! Thinking of going up Thailand in April but wondering if the chionging activities are affected by Songkran festival?
Is there any special things to do during the festival and do the girls go to work? I recall last time i went in May and was told alot of them go to temples instead of work or something although i dont speak thai so not 100% sure. Any advise would be amazing =D |
Re: Songkran!

Siam will be a very busy area. If you don't mind going a bit further a field then visit the WaterBomb Festival in Nontaburi (north Bangkok). There is the S2O Songkran Music Festival in Bangkok Bang Kapi. In Sanam Luang area you will find some traditional Thai performances but less of a water play. |

Advantage is that at no other time of the year the roads in BKK will be this quiet. This will last for about 5 days. In Pattaya the festivities will be even longer, from the 10th until 19th. In Bangkok it will be from 13th to 16th. The first 2 days is where you can really experience the water "fights" every where in the streets. In the (in)famous soi Cowboy and Nana you can experience this, as well as do some chionging activities. Many business shutdown during Songkran but the big shops, most shopping malls and restaurants stay open. So as a visitor from that perspective it will not affect you too much, just have to be aware that you can get wet. :) In summary you can do your chionging activities and there are always FL girls available during Songkran. ;) |
Re: Songkran!
tips: find your own girl, bring your own girl. best book a girl u find. Find FL, strike a deal to book her for 1-3 days.
in shops, the best girls usually not working for 2-4 weeks. Quality will go downhill during this period as mostly the girls who stayed to work are the ones who aint popular enough to make enough $$$ to go home. Most thai people (girls) will either be in hometown far away or overseas for vacation. Girl u see in songkran events mostly are not available for u to fish cause they're either event staff / booked by another bro / with their bfs. Its probably the worst time of the year to go looking for girls in thailand. oh, and prices go up too! |
