that crap theory...insulting to people like me who went to school and took a full time job in photo/film/media industry.
Ur only a photographer when ur shooting on Manual Mode and have extra equipments like many different kinds of Filters and multiple Lens around f2.5 to f1.2 and other type of lens for different purpose.
using a 7d on full auto with a Kit lens like 18-135mm f5.6 just means ur a person who is misinformed and never do research
of course that doesnt means that 15-135mm is a trash lens. it does has it uses like the convenience of having Wide angle to telephoto without the need to waste time change lens for important shots like sports and event.
which many real pros use multiple camera with different lens at once. and it isnt easy as it sounds trying to adjust all the lens to have the same WB and Color saturation. all lens and camera has a slight difference
