been a lurker on SBF for too long that I forgot my password … needed to create a new account to post this to help a friend. My beer buddy has repeatedly met creeps on her dates OKcupid etc but she’s open minded enough so she’s trying her chance to meet guys that are more gentlemanly and willing to at least pay $60 to get to know her better. No offence but I dun agree with the statement about being a creep sending her to her doorstep.... It's common courtesy to send a girl you are on a date with safely back home. The creep part comes when you try to get past her main door into her home when she doesn't want you to. Maybe we live in SG that's why most of us dun see the need for the sending of the girl safely to her home and making sure she gets home safe.... But in many countries, where safety is an issue, it should be an obligation for the guy to do so.... And that's why I always make sure the girls I go on date with are safely back in their home/unit before I leave.

I also am of the opinion that by charging for a date, you'll invite more creeps than whatever dating site she tried. And if this girl friend of yours is thinking of just enjoying free food and drinks at the expense of these guys... Better not to charge. Once there is a charge, something is expected in return..... You expect the guy to pay the $60 and pay for everything else, and not get anything in return?? And so many restrictions?? Hmmm.... Simple.... Wanna charge then just charge..... No need to justify charging.... No need to make it sound like she does it cos she has to cos guys are cheapos and dun pay.... Dun be so high and mighty about why you need to charge...

Well, like I said.... This is SG that's why you feel that way.... If you are a girl in let's say Msia, Indonesia, Manila, Africa..... You would want the guy you are on date with to send you to your doorstep if it's late at night..... You will fear more for your life and safety than your date being a creep.... At least you are still alive after that few hours of date....

Whereas you never know someone could be lurking in the corner waiting to pounce on you once you open your main door.... Be it to rob your home or to rape you.....

Well... Just saying.... There are many gold digging women out there. Who expect you to pay for drinks, food, send them home, maybe even shopping.... Yes if you wanna date a girl like that you have to spend the money.... And maybe not get anything at the end of the night or maybe might have..... But TS is saying to date his friend, the guy has to pay for everything and on top of that pay additional $60.... And confirm 1st date get nothing out of it....
