Do local FLs get routinely tested for HIV and other STDs?
 

Anyone knows if local FLs in local online escort agencies are routinely tested for HIV and other STDs? I know that they are kind of in a grey area, and are not really regulated. Any thoughts?

I doubt if any of them bother. They try their best to operate under the radar and the OKTs are definitely not going to cover the overheads of testing.

Some girls may be conscientious enough to go on their own but it would probably be only a small minority.

Would agree with Boss.

Very few of them do. I think for a few reasons:

1. They believe condoms protect 100% against everything.
2. They believe in voodoo protection like certain oils or gargling very hard
3. It is very expensive in Singapore. So even if they are worried for their health and want to screen, they wait till they are back in their home countries. And since most of them are on social visit passes, they cannot stay more than 2 months anyway.

I think his question relates specifically to Singaporean working girls rather than those who are foreigners on social visit passes. However most of your points are probably valid plus the added embarrassment of HIV testing out of fear of being recognised if they are Singaporeans.

I personally do see a handful of local FLs for screening and even PEP.

But definitely the tip of the iceberg.

I guess the best option for the thread starter would be to ask the girl that he patronised. ;)

However there's no guarantee that she'll be 100% truthful with her response.

At the end of the day the only guaranteed defense against nasty bugs is abstinence.

These sorts of questions will do nothing to allay your worries.

What difference does it make whether it's 0% or 30% or 60%? The sample is far too small to be extrapolated and those who see the good Doctor aren't representative of the general whore population in the first place.

They belong to the minority category that are knowledgeable about sexual health. The majority are probably far more ignorant about the dangers of commercial sex. Many whores have the false belief that douching after experiencing condom breakage will eliminate the risk of infection when in fact it can make things worse.

Some douche regularly which can actually increase the risk of STDs. Douching upsets the delicate balance within the vagina and allows infections such as BV to take hold.

You have two choices :

1. Sit tight and hope for the best.

2. Initiate PEP within 72 hours of exposure.

The choice is yours.

difference between legal WLs and local FLs...

If legal WLs get tested positive, they will get sent back if it's HIV...

But even if local FLs go for testing on their own and they test positive, do you think they will stop their trade or do you think they will even want to let more clients fuck? :D

I discuss this issue with a friend who runs a nightspot where many FLs hangout and ply their trade. He knows many of these FLs and is a confidante and fatherly figure to some of these FLs giving them advice and financial assistance to tide them over their problems. He is very sure that 95% of local FLs do not go for HIV testing due to the way the Singapore system is structured. Although the public is told testing is confidential and anonymous..... once a result is positive the patient is tagged into the system. There is no such thing as remaining anonymous for positive HIV carrier. So these FLs would rather be ignorant of their status and live life as it is.
