If you did not activate it then yes it could be deleted.

Nothing to do with being "active" what I am referring to is the activation process which you need to go through in order to verify your email address.

When you sign up the forum automatically sends you an activation link which goes to the mailbox that you supply when you create your account. This is ensure that the email account actually exists.

When you click on it your account is activated.

If you don't activate the account it hangs in limbo and unactivated accounts are purged every few weeks.

Sell it is the fastest way....... yours is an old account so should be wanted by many buyers and can ask for good price :D
