Bro there is no sleazy massage place at chiangrai. No need to waste time to recce this place. However there is a strech of pubs just behind Wangcome Hotel. This is one of the more happening lane u can find at the entire city central. For more info u can approach or PM Vemtech. He sipeh old bird there coz he has spend his entire life backpacking in chiangrai hahahaha.

as far as i know chiang rai does not have any chiong places. most of my pals who go there is to do "tamboon". they end up buying land, build house and the road leading to it. not forgeting to buy the pick-up truck too! there are pockets of areas in chiang rai and issan villages where there are many nice houses... courtesy of "than chart" who go there tamboon to their tirak family. kekeke... shenzhen has the "er nai" village so does thailand! :D

actually for those that like a laidback retiree life.. chiangrai actually is pretty good..

stayed few days there, purely relax and walking around, cheap and nice!

PS: only 1 problem .. sometimes late @ night if no own transport.. really hard to get sawngteaw or motorcyc
