Having come off a recent divorce, I realised how much my life has been centered around my ex-wife, and how empty it is now that she's gone. On hindsight, I haven't had many close friends in life, and the ones I do have are all busy/tied up with work, wives, kids... or maybe our broship isn't all that strong to begin with.

My relationship with my real life brother is strained because I despise my sister-in-law. My parents are out of touch with my life. My sister has her own. So I'm pretty much mostly alone in an empty flat now. Well... I have an awesome dog though.

Suffice to say, recent events have made me realise that while the women in your life can come and go, True Bros are forever. You can have breakups, but you can't really "break up" with a bro right? No reason to do so, unless of course, the bro is an insincere fair-weathered bro.

So if any Bro out there is looking for sincere Bros to do Bro things - play video/board games, marathon pacer, watch WWE/UFC PPVs, be a wingman, "talk cock sing song" etc. - and is there for a fellow Bro to celebrate the good times and stick together through the bad, please feel free to comment here. cheers bro, yea i do agree wit freebiewankerz, there r definitely nice bros out here but also some may hav other intention seeing ur need may wanna exploit u. i think its a gd idea to mix around lim kopi etc :) im actually quite interested to try rock climbing but not sure where i can do it, how much it will cost n probably need some kaki too haha

Rock climbing? Heh... nah I realise I'm not good with heights while doing rappelling exercises in SISPEC. Not something I would like to revisit lol...

Sports wise I'm currently into boxing. Not good enough to spar properly yet though. Give me a couple more months. Otherwise, I'm an avid jogger. Oh, and I used to play Basketball in secondary school. Kinda suck now - completely out of touch + old injuries in ankle/knee.

Well, I'm not specifically looking for female companionship at this point. If you look back at my 2013 thread, I was using the "going on a trip, seeking female companionship" format way back then lol. It actually works. Who wouldn't like an all expenses paid holiday with a mysterious, intriguing stranger right? Don't know why there are so many cheapskates bros these days looking for free lunches. Bro there is no other platform these days for platonic same-sex broships. Most apps are all about the "swipe culture". Meetup is dead. Locanto and Craigslist are full of swindlers. Hard Ware Zone is passé and Singapore Reddit is for expats, hipsters and trolls.

Contrastingly, I see a great deal of heart in this forum. Bros stepping out with no agenda to help desperate young girls in financial distress. Support for suicidal bros. Divorcee support groups. Sure, there are many assholes around but those people wouldn't be showing their faces in this thread anyway.

Thanks for the suggestion. Quite frankly though, I am sorry to admit that I am not that altruistic.

Also, my current "do-good" project is to take care of my dog. She was adopted from a shelter after suffering years of abuse at the hands of unscrupulous dog breeders. As a result, she suffers from chronic health issues. Her medical bills had soared close to 5 figures in the space of a few months after adoption.

Kinda sad, but humans really suck sometimes.
