After countless nights of working together with Kimberly, we began messaging each other almost everyday except when we’re working and we get to know each other better.
Just one fine afternoon she messaged me.
K: Hey Jack, when is your off day? (:
Me: Thursday. Why?
K: I am performing with my dance group. Come and watch okay?!
Me: Erm, sure why not?
K: YAY! (: I will let you know detail soon! Oh and I won’t be working until my performance is over! See you then my boy!
My boy? Seriously? What does it mean? Am I reading too much? Or was it just an expression that she used in any guy?
Nevertheless I didn’t pay much attention to that and carried on to continue my stuff.
Work was pretty much boring without Kimberly around talking jokes and playing around with me during work. And just when WenHui came and tap behind my back which startled me for a while.
WH: Eh why you look so moody and sian? Kimberly not around you sad right?
Me: Huh? No la, nothing to do. Weekdays also no customer. Just sian lo.
WH: Admit it la. I know you have something for Kim. Always break time hang around with her. You’re like her next BFF.
Me: You jealous is it?
WH: For what? Anyway don’t say I never warned you. She is not that simple. I may be her good friend but sometimes I don’t really stand what she is doing.
Me: What do you mean by that?
WH: You’ll see.
And then she walked away leaving me in suspense.
At the same time, Kimberly messaged me.
K: I am bored :[ miss me?
Me: Hmmm… a bit.
K: :[!!!
Me: Then do you miss me?
K: Hmmmm…. Maybe?
We messaged like we haven’t seen each other for a very long time in a very lovey dovey way but we were never in a relationship or whatsoever.
Kim: Remember its my performance tomorrow tonight! Don’t be late.
Me: Oh yeah, I won’t. Where will you be going after?
(I decided to take the initiative to ask her out after her dance performance)
Kim: Why? You want to date me out is it? *shy*
(Looks like she know where I am heading to)
Me: Yeah something like that.
Kim:
see you tomorrow!
So is it a yes or a no? I am confused but to wait until tomorrow night.
So the next day, I went in to the concert hall with a bouquet of lilies and it was kinda awkward for me because I don’t usually do this like giving flower to someone else.
