Is regarding Birthday.
One HCMC gal I know attended her friend's birthday yesterday.
This friend of hers has a local vn boyfriend
I have seen the so call boyfriend...typical beng
The birthday celebration is in a private VIP room @seafood restaurant
After dinner, they proceeded to a karaoke.
The gal I know and her friends are in the range of 21 to 23 years old drawing a salary of around 5M. These dinners and after dinner parties will cost the birthday gal a few millions. These gals are from provinces and have been working in hcm for a couple of years.
Tonight the HCMC gal I know is going to another friend's birthday party.
Just a Topic for discussion :
1) Birthday celebration is really a big event for a Vietnamese. Why it is so ?
Is it because there are deprived of birthday celebrations when they are young ?
When I celebrated my 21 years old birthday party many donkey years roi, I dun think I spent that much. Or maybe I'm from another generation
Even now during my bd, normally I just treat my friend to drinks and that's it. Not as elaborate as theirs.
2) How much roughly they give ang bao ?
3) These province gals should be working hard to save money and send back to support their families rather than spending unnecessary.
4) Based on their income, I think they are being exorbitant in their bd spending. Who on earth will spend twice their monthly salary in a one-time off bd celebration. Wonder whether they can recoup back with ang baos
