Eureka (Ikebukuro) - A club that specialises in hardcore Femdom (no submissive girls on the staff here, though some lesbian submissives come as customers). They go so far as to have a rule that customers must sit on the floor while the chairs are reserved for the staff (enforced on some nights a lot more than others). The vibe here is more like an underground house party than a commercial club, and play is the most full on out of any SM bar I've been to in Japan. They also have absolutely no-one on the staff that can put two words of English together, so Japanese is a total must. Also they don't really encourage people to go there just to drink and not play. Expect to come under intense pressure to play, and given the cold shoulder if you don't do something (especially if you're a gaijin since you'll stand out more, and absolutely if it's your first time there).


Pink Crystal (Shinjuku) - Another more underground, hardcore bar (though not as much as Eureka). Could be wrong but I don't think anyone here speaks English.


Arcadia (Shinjuku) - Less hardcore than Pink Crystal or Eureka but more so than Amarcord or Roppongi Jail. Some staff here speak English but not that high a level.
