I know we cannot generalise about Vietnamese wives. Cast your mind back. Two questions:

Q1. A Singaporean husband who has a Vietnamese wife, has been sending money to his Vietnamese wife's mother who is sick, given money to his wife's brother who is in trouble with the law in Vietnam and given money to repair her parents' house. He knows all these might not be true but he dutifully gives. When he asks her for a favour, will she help? He is not even asking her for money. Is a Vietnamese wife grateful? Is she reciprocative?

Q2. A Singaporean husband is asked by his Vietnamese wife to give her money because her mother is sick. She needs the money to buy medicine. Another time she needs money to repair her parents' house in Vietnam. The husband said what medicine does she need? He happens to have contacts who sell the medicine. He can send the medicine there instead? Or he will contact his kakis in Vietnam who will send workmen based in Vietnam to repair her parents' house. What are the possible answers from his Vietnamese wife? Don't trouble yourself, just give the money? If she answers this, her husband should be suspicious right?
