My recent trip to Hcmc, met some local vietnamese who bring me to cafe at Phu nhuan. There are few sexy waitress butterfly around the different table to chat with customer, was told that the tip was around 100K, but was nothing like the the cafe om mention in this thread, no hanky panky.
After coffee, they bring me to a local eateries at Phu nhuan sitting on stool for beer and zichar type of dish. All the customer are Vietnamese people. I was told it is normal to leave a tip at the table before we left.
But i was not aware of this tipping culture when eating at restaurant and local eateries.
Wonder is this kind of tipping is normal in VN?
