Re: My Melbourne sexcapades

Well, after Li left, there was an unforeseen emptiness in my life. I guess I really did feel something for her, but being respectful of her wishes, I left things alone. Life went on…I’ll write a brief summary of what’s happened in between her departure and the next eventful time for me with regards to the story…

In the aftermath of Li’s absence, I found myself spending more time with Pree (well she’s my bestie there), Rain and Jenn, due to our shared concern over Li. Rain is a…how do I put it, highly-dependent girl. Comes from being the youngest in her family, I suppose, and it’s her first time away from home. She’s attached herself firmly to Jenn, the two were almost always together outside of classes. During classes, Rain would stick with Lawrence, who was doing Bio Med Sci with her (or something like that). She just gives off this xiao mei mei vibe very strongly, coupled with her non-existent boobs and short stature, made me feel quite protective of her.

For some reason, I got the distinct impression that Jenn really detested me. I don’t know why, I haven’t done anything to her. In fact, I’ve gone out of my way to be polite and nice to her, forgoing even my usual “make fun of you” jokes that I crack around others. It made things a little annoying for me, since she’s a really pretty girl (not hot, average figure), and her obvious disdain of me was bad on the ego.

Despite her dislike, we still hung out a lot in a group, since Rain and I talked about Li quite a bit, and Pree was just floating around with us when she’s not with her ang moh girlfriends. After spending so much time together, I got to know that Rain was the youngest of 4 siblings, and the only girl. No wonder she led such a sheltered life. Her mum was a Singaporean (I think) that married a Hongkie. Of Jenn, all I could get out of her and in conversations with others was that she was a top student back in Hong Kong and her family was just mid-level and she was there on scholarship. Made me wonder where she and Rain got so much pocket money to go around shopping and eating out all the time…

Exams came and went. Each faculty, and indeed, subject, had different times. Some of us had back to back examinations, while others had one on the first day and the other paper on the last day. I finished mine in the middle of the exam month, and breathed a sigh of relief. Most of the Aussies who have finished already left for home. By the end of everybody’s exams, the Aussies had all left, and only those of us who couldn’t afford to fly home for the holidays (or didn’t want to) stayed on: Fen, Shan (these two didn’t want to return home cos they wanted to go exploring Victoria), Rain, Jenn, Skan, some senior Asians I wasn’t too familiar with (and one HOT 2nd year Hongkie girl that will play a role in my next semester) and of course, myself.

So what happened during the semester break? Surprisingly to me, plenty…
